Namco, pls fix the glitches and somethings improper next patch.

This topic is for Nightmare's glitches and somethings improper.
However, it is not for balancing and tuning on Nightmare's damage, property and moveset.

I found the problem on [2] 8WR -> 36 -> GS. That make me unable to do [2]8WR ->36->66A_66B+K_66B and so on.
Please change it back to the SC4 version on next patch.
In SC4, you can do [2] 8WR -> 5 -> 236 -> GS.
And [2]8WR -> 36 -> 66A_66B and so on.

On the side note, Pyrhha and Patroklos don't have this problem.

So far, I'm happy with this new Nightmare except this things.

His CE needs better startup for sure. The auto gi is a joke compared to every other CE's high priority crap. Essentially the auto gi doesn't even make NM's CE all that special. It's the one of the few CE's that actually punishable to an appropriate degree. And the post Gi damage should atleast be 100.

And also they need to change his input maybe double quarter circle backwards.

3B isn't safe. And it doesn't give 1A tech trap...should change that.

His pokes need to be faster especially in this game. 6K and 6B.

WRB GSKBE should be a combo on NH.

3A2AGS plz.

GSA NH doesn't give a throw mixup.

I agree about the CE - I've found myself commonly interrupting that CE succesfully. Considering its risk on whiff it should have equal strtup as an SCV GI. This is coming from a non-SCV NM so I don't feel biased, lol.

All this would definitely make him better (possibly more competitive). I would however settle for the removal of the "stupid frames" from most of his moves (3AA CE punishable come on, especially since its easily GI-able).

Maybe a nerf to Asta's command throw range would compensate. Its not right that they have the same throw range while Asta's does like 50% more damage lol. That was the one thing which made the SC4 asta-nm match-up balanced.

More throw damage (50 damage from B+G? WHAT?! Come on, at least 55 or give us better Oki), the ability to "Lau throw" from A+G/Side throws (make the opponent's hit-box throwable from wake-up) and for pete's sake fix WS K. That move would be so good if it didn't have stupid frames. Punishable 66K as well (shouldn't be positive on block but at least -6 or something)?

Give him back 11K and bA as well? Or will that be too much to ask for?

in opinion if they dunt change nightmare, at least change natsu patro pyra and all those dps characters. nightmare now is really a nightmare for our nightmare users.
if u guys have some spare time do the following test:
nightmare vs natsu at least 10 match
nightmare vs patro at least 10 match
nightmare vs phyra at least 10 match
nightmare vs seigfred at least 10 match
nightmare vs viola at least 10 match
all these match do it with very hard cpu and let the cpus fight each other u will find out that nightmare will loose all the way to the end.
which means at the same ai level nightmare cant beat them. which means the game is not well balanced. or these characters are over powered

i asked a patro user yesterday night after a match
i:" was it easy to fight other nightmares"
he:" i dunt really have trouble with nightmare, it is seigfred which is a pain in the ass'

so i have seen a lot of nightmares and there are good ones and nab ones i assume he had met one of these good nightmare before cuz i have met them several times,so y not him. since he said he has no trouble with nightmares which means he wins easily, and of course i lost to him 100% i cant even do a shit while i fight patroklos. it was not because i am nab, if u have fought me before, u would not think i am a nab, u can say i am not good enough, but no one can say i am nab. so if they want to release a patch or wat, plz make it more balanced, nightmare now is too weak, he is only good to nab players, if u fight a good player, he is a piece of crab. cant even do a shit in the match really.

Before this goes too far... The above is completely invalid.

AI vs AI in no way substitutes for competent players. Basing a tier ranking on how they fair against CPU matches is just about as relevant as basing it on what color their eyes are.

In Mario Tennis if you pit the Ghost against Bowser as computer players Bowser will almost always win. The ghost is top tier in that game. Bowser is pretty low on the tier list. The A.I. doesn't effectively abuse the Ghost's attributes [not saying glitches, but things that were INTENDED to be there].

In Soul Calibur there isn't much reason to watch two computers play each other. But to list a few of the reasons to watch the computer.

-That special someone is over and SC computer battles turn you on, so you play it in the back ground ;)
-You make Rooster CaS's for each fighting style and have some buddies come over to bet on Cock Fighting SC style
-Same as the above, only with pitbulls
-You want to learn new combos [the ones listed in the movesets already] by watching the computer do them

Things NOT to watch computer battles for.
-To decide where on the tier list certain characters belong
-Bet your lifes saving in a CaS Cock fight battle [sigh...]

The computer does more combos than you see listed in the move sets. I think one example is DNS B after 22B with Poe - I don't think that's listed.

Nightmare isn't just my main hes my only. I know he has a lot of strengths and weaknesses but I don't think that AI vs AI is the best way to show that.

have you ever been sucked by patroklos and natsu? have you do watever u can to not being sucked, but it turns out they just can suck u no matter wat u done?

None of what you just wrote made sense. I'm guessing that you're talking about feeling helpless when Pat or Natsu get rolling and you're not sure of how to deal with it. If that's the case then yes I know the pain that is.

Alot of you seem to have missed the intent of this topic.

This topic is for Nightmare's glitches and somethings improper.
However, it is not for balancing and tuning on Nightmare's damage, property and moveset.
It wasn't to ask for balance changes, it was to discuss glitches in the moveset like something randomly whiffing through a body.

I've noticed that sometimes CH WR [B ], NSS A+B will not always launch if the opponent is off axis.

No it's not because you can't form a full sentence. You can do something about that. Even if its just block.

This game has buffering issues.

NSS A+B turns into NSS A way too often to my liking. I have pad specifically set to A+B that shouldn't happen.

But the most important thing to me is the balance oversight, I was promised a balanced game. I am not low tier hero.

my complain is mainly with 3 things

considering now 6(B) is GARBAGE on block and HIGH, and the fact that Nightmare punishment suck so bad (the better thing i found for punishing Pyrrha's CE was his agA, i think his 6(B) - NSS K being a Combo on Normal Hit like SC4, shouldnt be too much to ask, this move out of combo is just USELESS.

WS K ..... omg!! were you guys serious when you give this move it's retarded properties? i mean stupid range, no advantage on hit and FUCKING UNSAFE???? god!! that move is certainly just USELESS.

another thing i would like is if you give 2A at least a bit more damage, maybe 25 - 28 damage, considering Nightmare lack of decent lows, i mean this move is -4 on hit i think and still - on counter hit, and just 19 damage, if im not wrong (the same damage as 1K) and -14 or worse on block doesnt make sense.

that's all, i think is a prudent list of fixes, and i think is prudent when you compare some Nightmare things to other stupid chars properties like Pyrrha 66B BE almost tracking 100% and giving her adv on block, i know you can hardly step that to one side, but Nightmare's 33B BE can be steped as well much more easily and is also pretty unsafe on block , etc, etc...

back to the vice and trying to make some decent things with Nightmare as always =P

The combo is still possible actually but you must be at a very precise range to get it now. Try NSS (A) hit so that you are at NSS b:A's maximum range and it should work.
