It's the principle of it. You shouldn't nerf characters that aren't overpowered. It's not my fault you guys just don't get it.

Ok, I've changed my mind a bit. The guaranteed backthrow isn't necessarily ridiculous.

The majority of the time I'm still in a "Tekken" mindset and backthrows in that game generally do a lot more than backthrows in Soul Calibur. Also, the okemi game in Tekken is FAR more complex and dangerous to the grounded person.

How much damage does the move that leads to the back throw do? And how safe/usable is the actual move? I suppose I should know this stuff first before I start calling things crazy, but where would the fun in THAT be?

anyways.. Chang's friend beat me to the NM nerf... I think he was sooo excited and happy to see that...

personally I think it was a good nerf as well... that was a little messed up.... it was fun while it lasted but also felt it was a little over powered...

finally... this attitude of just whining about everything without first testing it and trying it out and just going all out and protest and shit... to me is really ridiculous.... at least try it THEN complain...

this type of attitude REALLY discourages me from posting more patch notes....

personally i'm pro patch... and the fact they are patching is great... you might not agree with everything but it's great that they are attempting to make it more balance.

anyways... this might be my last update... because I'm getting sick of posting shit and people think it's like the end of the world when they haven't try out the patch themselves.

people can complain about everything....

game isn't balanced... people complain

can't you guys just F#@%ing relax and perhaps try out the game.. and realize OH SHIT... IT'S BETTER!!! THEY NERFED THE TOP TIER MORE THAN ANYBODY.... and perhaps even though your character got nerfed as well the game as a WHOLE is more balanced.....

have you thought.. the notes i wrote might not be 100% accurate? less tracking might literally mean just less.. but doesn't mean NONE?

have you thought.. maybe your complaints are really just for selfish reasons because all your test results are a 'waste' but in actuality the game isn't exactly 'totally ruined'

or perhaps you're just complaining because your favorite character just got nerfed but the patch is actually pretty good despite that SMALL nerf on your character?

have you thought.. hey maybe you don't like this patch but they might make a better patch in the future....

i'm kinda fed up with this retarded whining bitching shit that's going on... especially to the majority of you who haven't even tried the game...

my favorite character/main got nerfed.. and if you guys seen my vids you'll know i use BT 2K -> back throw combo a lot.. and i would probably dare to say I probably do that combo probably more than any other NM players in this world..... they took that away... yes... it sucks... boo hoo... but actually to me i think it makes a lot of sense and probably better for the game as a whole. I'm really surprised they saw things up to this type of details..... and i'm glad namco is paying attention to the game. .... yes it was fun while it lasted but oh well...


so yeah.... i'm fed up...

i'm also fed up being the guy who's pro patch.... but delivering news for people to complain without trying and those who I don't understand why they are SOOOOOO anti-patch.

so instead of supporting you 'anti-patch' whiners.

don't expect updates.

you might say this is a selfish reason or whatever... but i see it as i'm doing you guys a service .... I don't exactly wanna be the guy who made this game a 'patchless' game when i don't intend for that to happen.

nightmare has no "safe" way to backthrow you because
1) any move that can combo to backthrow, or even a front throw mixup, is unsafe on guard except 4A which is insanely slow and the combo is difficult as well
2) when using it for okizeme to catch side rolls for front throw mixup, backthrow (depends on the setup). this means he is using FC grab in a situation where it could be blocked, and it is quite punishable on guard.

one of his best uses is to use after his A throw IMO, but this only gives you the front throw mixup, and only if they sideroll. I just cannot believe they took this away. you might as well take away rock's ground grabs too if you think this is broken.

Anyway, I have no complaints about this patch. They fixed Tira's 2A whiffing issue so I'm satisfied. I have no real opinion on the nerfs for none of them really affect me (I didn't even know about that Tira VS Talim semi infinite nor would I actually use that during a match). However, as a whole I support the patch, mainly because it shows that Namco actually gives a shit about attempting to balance the game out more after it's release.

Yeah, houses and apartments in Japan is pretty cramped so its pretty difficult to get a venue for a home tournament.

I think the Japanese are goin to other's houses (for casuals and prac) a little more than before because there's no choice but ya we need the arcade version.

I'm a very patient guy and it takes a lot to piss me off. That and I don't like contradicting what I say. But after seeing 22+ posts with you doing nothing but complaining, the decision to say something abut it was obviously an easy one.

Seeing that I do not want you to post in this thread at all, I will gladly not mention you anymore.

I do however expect you to keep your word.
