If you do it as it says its a quick slide from A to G then a press to A. But doing it that was on a pad is nearly impossible. There is a thread for Nightmares agA.

There is also a tutorial video in the Siegfried SA Skill Project/Tutorial thread.

Ah okay. Then its just hard to do. I read the notation agA and figured id just slide from a to g then quickly press A. It never comes out so I thought Im misinterpreting the notation.

Nvm I got it now. Its actually not that hard on my stick but I doubt I could use it properly in the heat of the battle.

Yea they should have JF timing tutorials for all JF's in training mode. The way I've been doing it is by binding a "A" to a bumper then pressing the standard guard button, then pressing the bumper again. If you're going to learn agA, I would learn it with Siegfried first though. If you can do Sieg's, Nightmare's is no problem at all. I say that because NM's agA can also be input as aA+G, it's a lazy way to do it and if you want to learn Sieg later you would have to reteach yourself how to do agA because Sieg can't do agA as aA+G.

Funny thing, I actually had a Xiba player send me messages about how I fought without honor because I used ring outs, you know, taking advantage of his poor spacing and footsies.

So I brought him into a player match and I beat him 3-0, again, like I did in ranked. Then he sent me messages accusing me of spamming lows and grapples. ;_;

Any of Nightmare's moves can have BE substituted instead of the normal input if it involves A B or K works with every single move that does not involve a possible BE input works on all slides so for those of you binding A to a trigger or whatever you need not do that for agA simply do the slide of ag then use BE as the final A this is just an example it can be used on all moves have fun with this bit of info
Edit:the first input must always be made with the actual input so you can't try to do AAB starting with BE if you did A first then BE will act as the other inputs

i know how the backstop but kura's backstep is amazing, how the fuck can he backstep that fast, it's almost like canceling the step and doing another right away.

4 14 14 14 etc. but it's better o do it by 4 214 214 214... if you don't want to miss the cancel.

It's best way, faster then 4~g 4~g...
when I'm backsteping i only doing it this way, with NM's great backstep distance and speed it makes spacing and whiff punish game much easier.

ok now w see that kura do it by 4~g, still 214 is faster if done right

Am i the only one having a huge issue with Siegfried? It seems that him and him alone is almost unbeatable to me he hits for about the same but all his attacks are faster and he has more reach anyone got a clue what i could be doing wrong? I can put up a video of my most recent being owned by a Siegfried if needed

Pretty rare I run across a Siegfried player online, but I flub up occasionally against the CPU for this reason:

Because his attacks are marginally faster, most half-way decent looking openings really just get you counter-hit. Play it patient, keep the defense up and push hard when he gives you a solid opening.

A bit about Xiba.
On block

In addition to being able to punish his 66BBB with step CE. You can do a similar thing to his 66KB.

6AK or 6ABE, 6BK or 6BBE, The seconds can be countered with A+B and GS A.

33AA or 3ABE the second hit can be jumped, 9G will jump over Xiba giving back punishment.

Technically not a double post. Next day new stuff.

I thought I was seeing a huge freaking hole in Leixia's 66BBB, since it does a ton of guage damage.
Yup you can step it. You can also step the shorter version in 66BB and punish with 3BNSS bA.

On block.

You can counter her last options in AABE/AABEK with 99K it should cover both options.

6BA or 6BaB Crouching and punishing with WRB will cover both second hit options.

4BB or 4BbK 33K will counter both last hits. You can also step and punish with 6K and 4KBE.

1KK second kick is 8K punishable.

GI option for second hits
A+B
4A+B

3B+K K second hit steppable.

66AA JG second hit for 4KBE punish. Also A+B will completely punish the second hit.

Quick stupid question, but is it possible to JG something like AA and interrupt the 2nd A with a CE? A JG CE A? I'm thinking with something that fast the CE would be interrupted. I'd test it out myself, but I'm not near a game right now.

I'm not surprised given how much time they had to compile the information. However, its still useful for giving you a general idea of the move's frames.

Any notable errors you can tell us?

so guys as you are already aware, they've found the existence of Step G in the form of Step~A+B+K~G or QS4G, so in the event that they won't get patched out, how would that affect NM's gameplay? would it contribute to his already impressive step? or would it make his horizontals near useless?
