Thanks for hosting this, Shenrei! This was a great study break for me, and it was fun seeing everybody before I head home.

Special shout out to the new folks who came, particularly the Mountain View-area crowd. We'll get some gatherings going in the new year.

Scamp: Thanks for the ride to the thing dude, you totally saved the day. It was pretty fun at golfland too.

Cedric: Congrats on the tourny. Let's play ST:HDR again sometime, ggs. You got those reversals down. Gotta hook me up with those sirlin strats!

Manta: Thanks for the last min tips, haha. GGs, and I really like that mirror's edge song too.

Brian: We didn't get to play, but man your matches were my fav of the tourny. Top tier reactions right there.

Alex: Never expected to see an Asta in the finals, POKEBALLS. Tough luck on the stage select though, but the Alex J magic on the steel cage select during last match in semis was great lol.

Pendragon: GGs man. Thanks for the casuals, though I was still too out of it to take in anything useful when it comes to playing against him, lol. I totally gotta actually look up wtf raphael does in SC4 now, since he's completely different than in SC2!

Rushdown: Thanks again for the ride home. =P You and your T6 and BB.

Steponme: You helped us win the team tourny, yeah! If I had to go up against Kilik I don't think I would of won, lol.

Genver: Man, you totally improved from when you first started. Getting more and more Mitsu setups everytime we get together. GGs from yesterday and today man. Let's play some mirror for practice later on friday.

And all the people I'v played for the first time, Keith, Chrono, Lags, Panda, and whoever else I forgot right now, it was nice meeting and playing you all. Hope to see you guys in later tournys.

Thank you Shenrei for hosting this tournament. It was really cool of you to buy food for everyone, didn't expect that at all.

I'll post shoutouts and all that stuff later on, I'm entirely too lazy and hungry to do it at the moment.

Shenrei I have to say this tourny was A LITTLE TOO PRO. The extra space, the tv's, the food, the beer... too pro buddy, just a little bit.

Everyone else I played it was fucking sick. I want to remember everyones names but I'm not that pro. Good to see pendragonsfall back in action. Botsu and Hajime made a long ass trip just for the tourney which makes them pretty out of control. Vinh drives a giant oreo. Nyawasdfasj made my last fight epic before he overthrew me with his taki. Dude who took that shitty white castle with me made the night, beer buddies for life.

Alex/Greg/Brian, very good to see all you guys again we should get lunch tomorrow before brian leaves for oklahoma.

I party fouled with zacks beer so I have to make that up next time. its been a while since I've done this but I think thats shotgun equal or lesser size?

Krayzie you missed out buddy. get off the net plays you rat bastard and leave work for us like you used to!

P.S.: Big thanks to Shenrei for holding this tourney and letting us all crash at his place. It was a lot of fun, even though I went two and out. Hope to hit up another gathering before the year's out.
 
It was nice meeting everyone blahblahblahblahblahblah. Hope you enjoyed your first tournament, Firefistace and Jim..glad I lost to your yoshi online originally so I could tell you about the meet.

Cedric's Hilde is scary, really showed me why I need to learn every character's strategy--especially the ones that people rarely use. And Alexj improved SOMEWHAT since I played him at sc3 (lol). Thanks for hosting it Shenrei, it turned out really well. Casuals with Botsu and Hajime got me a bit more used to playing offline, your guys' Siegfried and Yoshi (respectively) are crazy.. so much stance dancing and manji fists.

Alexj automatically forced me to play safer, which helped a ton (online blegh).

I'll be here until the 21st of December @ Shenrei's if anyone in NorCal wants to get in some games.

I think he might be hosting a gathering on the 20th (Saturday) if anyone wants to come, I'm sure he'll post more details in a separate thread.
 
Hey all, it was a lot of fun playing on Saturday. You guys were definitely more hardcore than I had expected! Thanks to Pendragonsfall for inviting us to the tourney. Thanks to Shenrei for hosting. Good matches Nwayu, Shenrei, Adrian, Botsu. Brian, Alex J, Lags, and other south bay SC4 players - we'll get together some time when everyone frees up their busy schedules some what. Till next time...

By the way, do you guys know LostInTime? I played quite a few matches online w/ him last night, and the connection was pretty good.

Alright, time for my thoughts.

Tourney was a big success! Glad to see so many new and old faces, and I know the drive was pretty far for some people. Between setting up the brackets, recording matches, calling out matches, finding people, getting food, looking for sync cables, drinking seven different beers (didn't get to try the sake :( ) on an empty stomach, basically organizing everything to make sure things ran smoothly - damn! I was pretty fucking busy. Thanks to all that helped out. Matches were intense, and commentary was hilarious. The mic on the webcam is trash but it did the job, so most of the commentary was captured. I might try lowering the sensitivity next time. Also surprised the food got killed. I actually thought I got too many egg rolls. The fact that SC4 has more lag on a PS3 than the 360 when both are on a fucking CRT makes no sense to me.

Anyways...

Aku: Good luck on your finals. I know you have 3 of them today. You should charge a stick rental service.

Pendragon: How you managed to pull that shit off with 90 minutes of sleep, I have no fucking clue. Wtf man.

I didn't get to play everyone since I was all over the place, but I was pretty fucked up anyway. Pendragon and I will be training all week since he'll be staying here until the 21st. If anyone wants to get some games in with us while he's here, feel free to call me.
