Fantastic tournament....had a few problems starting on time due to weather, equipment problems etc but overall a lot of fun, a lot of intense matches thankfully caught on tape. Hopefully we should be able to get the matches on youtube pretty soon.

Thanks everyone for braving the pouring down rain and shitty traffic to make it out. Next time hopefully we'll have better weather and i'll have the equipment set up right away so we can start on time and have time for a second tournament of our choice. See you guys next month!

Thanks Krayzie for running another great tourny. Props to the top placers, really intense matches.

I had a great time, even if I was dead tired and had wet socks for a few hours, haha. GGs to everybody that I played as well. Looking forward to next time!
 
Hey, everyone. Tourney was fun as hell, haha. Cynan and Ken's appearance was definitely a surprise lol. Chuu, also.. old school Team Taki unite! We still got it, bro. Lol.

Cynan: Still owes me my pack of cigarettes. :)
Tyler and Hajime: Team stockton represent, just like old times lol.

Hopefully next tourney Shenrei can make it lol. Team tourney also sounds fun for next time.

I'm curious about Alex and RushdownSorel's character switching though. Was it on a whim or active counter-picking? I just posted like 15 minutes ago that I didn't think SC4 really had counter-picks (at least, not to Super Turbo levels) but if things have changed....

Was a really fun tournament. Glad people made it out.

Extra props to Cedric. I meant what I said after the tournament, too, about what's gonna happen when you shore up the rest of your game. Hilde is alone at the top.

Cedric- Good job man, you got your revenge this time. My character gimmicks did nothing to you this time around. I was only joking about being mad, those were some great games man. I told you that I was afraid of you the most before the tournament and for good reason.

I say you should host whether Krayzie wants to take a break from hosting or not. Just don't schedule a tourney on the same day, that would be mean.

He likes to space his tournies a month apart, unless enough people complain so he pushes it back another week.


-Oh, and congrats to Alex for making the final four for that GGL thing and (apparently) winning a trip to LA. GET THE MONEY!
 
Thanks for all the props, it took everything I had to push myself to first in this tournament. I suck at props as per usual but 3 people in particular I have something to post to.

Alex- Very good games, I'm still (and will be for awhile) at how close you came to taking me out from the losers bracket. It felt good to get revenge as you could tell with me yelling out "BITCH!" during the finals.

Brian- Thanks for the advice after the tournament, I will start practicing starting tomorrow. Regardless of what you say, you are one of the best in norcal. Stop saying you suck :P

Krayzie- Thanks a lot for continuing to host tournaments and gatherings. It's because of you that I managed to go from a casual scrub in SC3 to a good player in SC4. If you I didn't play against you and learn about your ways to stop some of my stuff, I would have certainly placed lower. Just don't slouch when it comes to those videos, hell I'll try to do it if you give me the stuff :P

Again thanks for the support everyone, and I'm glad I could help make the finals entertaining for everyone who watched.

Krayzie - Thanks for hosting and organizing. It's appreciated. We'll come back sometime for casuals and hopefully get some real practice in before the next tourney. I'm pretty sure Botsu wants his revenge!

ASZ - Mad props. You've come a long way from lowly SC2 Taki scrub to one insane Taki player.

GGs to the rest I played. Hope to play the rest of you I didn't get a chance to. It felt good to finally get some comp. in after all these years.
 
Great tourney. Thanks for having us, Krayzie. I'm just glad I managed to somehow get top 8 despite having to trudge through with Maxi almost the entire time. Really though, this tourney reminded me how big of a gap there is between me and the top five.

'Grats to Cedric. When I saw your matches earlier in tourney I had a feeling you were gonna win it all. You made it look so easy.

GGs to Botsu, Mark (DrunkenPanda?), Tekneeks, Krayzie, Manta, TCS and whoever else I played.

And props to ASZ for even making it there to begin with. No easy task, that was.
 
Agreeeed. Great tourney :D I had a really great time, sadly we had to leave early because Mark (DrunkenPanda) had to get home. Had some really great tourney matches along with some really great casuals.

Can't wait to make it back out there.

Krayzie: Thanks again for hosting, hopefully we'll make it out there in a couple weeks to get some more gaming in. We have a long way to go (me and Hajime)

Vinh: TEAM STOCKTON REPRESENT. We'll climb our way up there =P

Damn I'm getting rusty... real life taking up all of my time lol. Ah well, hope to place next tournament.

PS. Krayzie, I need some practice with you guys on a non-tourney date. Heaven knows I need practice against you and Cedric in particular. >_>

If Cedric and Scamp stop by my place i'll be sure to let you guys know so you can come over and play us. We usually meet on weekends, usually never planned though they'll just call and ask to come over since they live relatively close.

EDIT, IMPORTANT!!: After cleaning up today I've noticed that not one but TWO of my six axis controllers are missing. There is nothing that pisses me off more than missing equipment after a gathering and I haven't really encountered it until today. I know Nyawu said he believes he accidently took one so that leaves one more. I'd like everyone who came over to make sure they didn't take one of my six axis controllers by mistake. I'd hate to stop hosting tourneys for the fact that people can't come and leave without taking my stuff. Those controllers aren't cheap at all.....

ALSO, Nyawu check and make sure you didn't take one of my charge cables for the six axis. It's not the normal 3 foot cable that comes with the controller but a 10 foot cable that I bought from best buy for the last tourney. I bought three of them that were still here after the first tourney but now I only have 2 of them. Everyone else check to make sure you didn't take it by mistake as well.
