Boogiepop is trash, the anime anyway.

It's a jumbled up mess that made it to TV for some reason and i disagreed with that lol. So slow too, like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay slow.

obviously the message and story went over your head. which means you probably didn't like Serial Experiment: Lain either. Yoshitoshi Abe makes a "different" type of anime. i loved Boogiepop phantom. the story was great as well as interesting characters.

also has anyone seen Gilgamesh?

God damn Vincent you REALLY need to stfu and making assumptions of things by what people say.

Serial Experiment LAIN is fantastic, i own that shit and bought it as soon as the sweet box set was out from Geneon.

I saw both of these shows around the same time originally because they both aired on TechTV around the same time.

LAIN is fantastic, Boogiepop is mediocre at best.

Elfen Lied
Naruto Shippuden
Fate Stay Night
Death Note
Fairy Tale
Tokyo Mew Mew
Ikkitousen

These are my favourites, but Naruto wins as the best anime. It's just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.

you mad bro? dang. calm down. you attacked my anime and i defended it. we're even. Lain and Boogiepop have some similarities so i'm sorry i assumed that you didn't like Lain. but you didn't need to take it so personally. we're all adults here i assume or at least mature so let's talk like mature people.

NO YOU LIKE SOMETHING I DON'T!!! YOU HAVE LOW STANDARDS AND DON'T KNOW WHAT GOOD ANIME IS!!!!11 MY OPINIONS ARE FACT.

A bit too presumptuous, aren't we? I exaggerate that Bleach>Yuyu Hakusho plus DBZ pwns Yuyu Hakusho and that would get you riled up for instance.

I mean, the whole post of yours is so childish from my point of view. All because someone's opinion bashing on your favorite. Thus, it hurts you and you feel the need to tell them straight. That's just way more immature.

I think this threads problem is all the negativity, if someone posts that they like an anime that I don't really like why the fuck would I make a point of telling them the anime they like is bad or that I know 'better' ones as if this isn't opinion based.

You don't make assumptions on what other people think on completely different subjects by what they say about another. You're making bad connections in your mind that shouldn't even come as a thought yet because nobody has said anything about what you're thinking about.

Not to mention you didn't defend jack, you've said the same 4 things over and over. And me NOT liking LAIN was kind of your whole basis for it, which of course is shattered because i do like it. I mean geez, you need to start thinking BEFORE you start thinking. Inception your thoughts, dive deep into your head before actually saying anything, and hopefully you stop over-thinking things.

@Ace, this negativity came from him straight asking the thread if anyone has heard of Boogie. He literally asked for it. I've heard of it, seen it and now talking about it. Which nobody else did, it would've been rude to leave that question hanging if i knew something.

Also I want to draw a picture of Yoh from Shaman King and Yusuke from Yu Yu doing the Fusion Dance and than out pops Ichigo from Bleach.
Because Bleach is literally those two shows merged together.

For me it's rough. I enjoy story telling...so for that reason I can watch a black and white french movie, to a Korean drama.

And the problem I have with Japan as a whole, from their mangas, games, dramas, and especially anime. They don't like to take risks. They always play things safe and stay in their comfort zones. It's a cultural thing and it's annoying. That's why a lot of the manga/anime you watch have this little annoying thing called a "childhood friend." (hate those) It shows that this writer absolutely has no interesting in developing a relationship...and it's straight up lazy.

I can't stand that. So you know since I am not an animefreak, it was pretty easy to drop anime. Know I still enjoy One piece, and still follow Naruto....(I have been invested since high school). Bleach on the other hand I dropped like a bad habit.

But that's just the shonen stuff. It's simple and you know what to expect. The most disappointing type of anime for me, is the so called plot/story driven ones with romance/comedy/horror whatever. This is where I lose it. Like straight up anger, I hate the cliches. Because for these unlike shonen I came into it with high expectations, only to be let down.

I've gotta get something off my chest. I've been seeing alot of people praising how awesome Gundam OO is but I don't get why its getting all the love? Admittedly the first season was badass, it had a great plot and character development and everything, but the second season seemed like typical generic fluff.

Basically season 2 was just your typical "Big evil government takes over the world though oppression while duping the public and the heros join the rebels and help overthrow them blah......blah.....blah.....boring." And don't even get me started on the goddamn movie. All this stuff about bringing an end to wars and whatnot and everything that the humans and whats-his-name (the founder of the resistance movement who invented all that stuff) was able to create and what is the point of it all? What was the guy trying to prepare humanity for? World peace? Enlightenment? Nope-

!!!ALIENS!!!

Granted it was at least a unique take on aliens, and by that I mean it wasn't your stereotypical "We're here to conquer your planet and/or tentacle-rape your women!" kind of aliens. But still at the end of the day its still-

Like I said, the first season was awesome and really different but after that the whole thing just fell apart for me. Complete waste of potential imo.

Rosio Vamp... not too sure what I think of it but I had fun watching it and that's all that really matters I guess, I doubt I will buy the blu-ray though, on that note Steins Gate looks like it is going to cost me a fortune :'( I hate that I can get the full series of claymore for just £25 at my local exchange yet a single volume of Steins Gate cost £56 oh well, at least I get a free capsule toy.

The RV anime was kinda stupid after the first season was done. Thats my opinion though and I guess I feel that way cuz they completely broke away from the manga during that season, the story they came up with was totally different and they even changed the way Moka's dad looked (Also in the manga it was Moka's mom who was one of the Three Dark Lords, not her dad). The manga had a far darker theme and story and I preferred that one.

That's cool, I actually prefer when the anime is different from the manga, that said I still enjoy anime that do stay true to their manga. Yeah I had seen some people saying they didn't like rv which is why I didn't get round to it for so long... then again I heard so many negative things about Madoka that I put off watching it for awhile and it turned out to possible be my favourite anime of all time. In short forum critics are idiots who think disliking something makes them look like they know what they are talking about. IMO.
