P90X results: This stuff really works

So I weighed myself today and I am down to 230 with this while maintaining my ripped appeal. I swear as I continue this routine I love it more and more! My family didn't reckognized me and I got a silly comment from some of my cousin's "Oh my goodness you got so skinny with muscles, you look like you should be on you don't mess with the Zohan". I was like "I DON'T LOOK LIKE NO FUCKIN' ADAM SANDLER!" It did make me laugh though. My homeboy's sister didn't reckognize me at all, and she just kept staring......and staring lol.

Saturday I pulled out 134 pull-ups! I even pulled out some single armed pull-ups, something I thought i'd never be able to do in my life! I'm gonna see if I get down to 220 and really start hitting the abs and my waist and see how I look by the time I get to 215.

I did take a photo about 2 weeks ago of my progress, the lighting at my house is dim just about everywhere I go so it's not of best quality, but here it goes...

Like always, i'm gonna keep things updated, continuing to bring it! X

Shogun, you're an inspiration worthy of imitation. Thanks for the example of drive and I'm proud of you, dude. Good for you!

I started with X-stretch last week, and that got me hype.
But then I started drinking and the mornings that come with, I never feel working out lol
But I did Chest and Back today (but missed out Ab Ripper X cause I thought I was done.) Maaaaaaaan lol Halfway through the workout I couldnt the push-ups anymore (my right hand was kinda spazzing.)
But it really kicks your ass. I love it. What I really wanted to do was follow the food nutrition guide and everything. But I definitely dont have the money for that (or the food stamps lol.) So i just ordered the Protein Bars and the Powder Shake from Amazon.
I have the guides so Im doin Plyometrics tomorrow. Can't wait.

Yeah man. Shits intense bro. I felt bad I couldnt complete it, but its no joke.
I bought the pull up bar, that i can't even use at my place cause i can't hang it anywhere. So i had to "remix" that section by stepping on Resistance Bands. This thing totally kicks ur ass tho. I wanna burn more fat, than build muscle tho...But this thing is all over the place.
Thanx, looks like youll be hitting ur goal pretty comfortably (especially with that deadline eh? lol.)

Man don't feel bad DK. My first day I did this I only made it through half the routine and threw up. By the second round of doing standard push-ups in chest and back I could only pull out like 6 before I had to stop. Just keep at it and continue to keep pushing, you're body will adjust and you will get stronger. The shit's intense and I love it!

And now, it's Update time!

6-13-11

I finished my last workout for my recovery day and tomorrow is stretch x. Before starting the recovery week the biggest changes I noticed have been in my back. In the shoulder's and arms routine I ended up curling 45's through the routine and hitting majority of the tricep workouts with flying colors. On chair dips I ended up doing 30+ dips everytime with one leg in the air, I'm gonna go back to two chairs and try it with a foot raise this time around to see how I do. During my hybrid workout I did 45's on throw the bomb, that's the most I have ever done during that excercise, so my triceps are getting crazy toned too.

Not too much body change except for more definition in my chest and a smaller waist, but here's an updated pic (I also posted this in the weight loss thread):

Lol, not my most fashionable photo but it is a progress report so. Tuesday I start my phase 2 cycle again and now that i'm working full-time I'm curious to see how much my body can handle bein over night stocker with p90x lol. Continuing to bring it! X

Nowadays there's almost nothing that money can't buy you, lol. I took another step towards my transformation.

I'm posting something before the swelling starts (or should I create a thread "Scalpel results: this stuff really works!!" ? ;) . Hopefully full of abs next year.

I am supposed to get my stitches out on friday. Can't wait to see the new bellybutton, hopefully it won't look like an anus...

Update: 7-10-11

This was taken yesterday on campus in a room that I've taken back acouple of months ago. I've made it down to 225 currently. I would've been lower but I have been on a semi pigout the last couple of days putting the wrong kinds of foods in my body. But anywho, here are the results:

I took this picture here cause I was able to compare it with a previous picture in the same location about 3 months ago. Here are the results:

I sure noticed a difference. Continuing to bring it! X

Hi folks, i guess i am entering the P90x 8 wayrun "club". ^^

So i bought this 12 DVD-set fitness program, watched the first two disks and i want to know some thing first from people who have some experience with this stuff before i really start.

First, do i really need b-lines, a pull up bar and dumbbells? And is a 10 kg dumbbell any good for beginners? ´Cause i am a complete! beginner. Not fat though, but the last time i visited a gym was... like 10 years ago.

And i don´t have the nutrition plan... Is that bad ´cause i mean is the diet important? And what about supplements...?

A mat is a must, right? And do i really need a heart-rate monitor?

And finally... Which DVD´s programs are the best and in which order should i watch them? And can i skip yoga?

Sry for all the questions, but it would be really nice if someone could answer those questions ´cause like i said... I am a "fitness-noob".

You don't need resistance bands but pull up bar and dumbbells are a must. You should definitely buy adjustable weights because 10kg will feel too light after some time and you will have to buy heavier ones. Or even better a set of weights (from 5kg to 25kg) if you don't wanna waste time on adjusting the weights in between the workouts. I never used any mat or heart rate monitor.

Also, I thought the nutrition plan comes with the dvd set? as well as training schedule. There are many workouts, it depends on your goal. There's p90x classic, p90x doubles and p90x lean. Classic is the default one, lean is mostly cardio and doubles is the same as classic with more cario workouts (the hardest one I think). You should start with either classic or lean, never doubles (unless you wanna die xD)

lol yoga I always used to skip, but Shogun will tell you that you shouldn't do that. I personally hate yoga! (at least the first 45min of it)

Oh hi there Ring, thanks for your respond. ^^

So a pull up bar and weights are a must you say... But i think i have problems to use the pull up bar(don´t have the space for it). And rather a set of weights... OK sounds good.

And i have just the 12 DVD-set(from chest & back to AB-Ripper X plus the "how to bring it DVD), but no nutrition plan. But it was worth it, i hope(money-wise). ;)

And there is classic, lean and doubles... OK.

I don´t know if i like Yoga or not. Still have to watch it.

Will see what i can do, but more questions over the next few days are quite possible. Hopefully i won´t get on anyones nerves.

jag...pm me a gmail or aim account and i'll send you a .PDF of the nutrition plan and all the supplemental program pamphlet crap. i have it all saved to one pdf file.

Oh that´s cool lobo.

Unfortunatelly, i don´t have gmail or an aim-account. But i will send you a pm to see if there is another way(or i just create a gmail account). ^^

Ring - Omg thanks so much. I ended buying and building a chin-up bar and now its jus here taking up space and not being used -_- Definitely gonna get my hands on that.
-Ive been replacing the chin-up portions of the excercise by pulling up on the black resistance bands. Its a workout but I don't think it comes even close to an actual pull up. JAG, nice to see you on the P90x train ^_^ I can't stand Yoga myself. I tried it once and had to turn it off. Too boring for me. I might replace it with something else.
Now that I've ordered more caffeine pills I'm definitely gonna get back into it tho. Motivation and lack of sleep/tiredness turn me off =/

Same here. Lately it's been hard for me to get back into the exercise. I'm gonna start again in two weeks.

Im on a good week so far (gonna man up and fit in Yoga X tomorrow.) The nutrition plan is killing me tho. Im trying to subsitute but its almost impossible with my schedule. I think I remember reading that ur supposed to intake 1400-1500 calories? And then theres the Protein to Carb ratio. Fml lol

Well thanks dreamkiller. Still need the equipment Ring recommended.

I shall have it ´till the end of the month hopefully. ;)
