Patch wishlist

Fix the infinites and glitches first. These detract from the legitimacy of the game.

All balancing issues can wait until we have a more clear idea of each character's strengths and weaknesses.
1der is absolutely correct. IF Namco will be releasing patches to fix the gameplay, rather than to just add DLC, their number 1 priority should be to fix infinites and glitches.
 
I doubt it's a glitch, but it would be great if they removed Tira's self induced damage. Or at least make it so that it can't KO herself. The fact you can randomly go into gloomy stance and potentially KO yourself is just bad design.

is tira's damage potential higher in gloomy? if so, then no problems with the self damage. maybe just take out the fact that she can be randomly hit into stances.

i'm all for fixing glitches and infinites. especially the broken hitboxes <_<
 
Either make Talim's WL faster (any character's BB will hit her out of it, even though its a jump back move... certainly not of Raphael or Xianghua 44B quality of course)... or make her WL A FC 33B WS A+K combo do more than only 25% damage...

Also... let her delay the B in AAB again... and let her cancel 4B into WC.

Then... I'll be happy with Talim... keep everything else with her nerfed, I'm okay with that... I just want those 3 things. Hell, only give me the 4B cancel into WC and I'll be good enough!
 
The character that I think needs to beefed up the most is Rock.

Once again, he does far too little damage. Rock's game is based around landing string of ground grabs and spacing, but ground grabs aren't garuanteed. Unlike Astaroth, that can get like 90 damage pretty easily from a catch that cannot be escaped, anyone that knows how to throw escape is not likely to get hit by much of Rock's ground grabs.

I personally suggest that they only really need to do three things to make him more fair. I think all of his grabs(or atleast his ground grabs) should be a little harder to escape. He is a grappler, and he isn't enough better at it then most the characters (worse than Astaroth). His ground grabs should be stronger. I am not saying that they should be poweful, but 12 damage and 24 damage is pathetic. I think if you even increase the damage to 18, and 36 for the more powerful ground throw, that it will make a noticeable difference.

I believe that nerfing his 2 A+K hurt his mixup game a bit too much. People would have had a serious mind game to contend with they had to deal with the throw game after a good mid and a good low, but Rock doesn't have a good low anymore.

There is more I can say, but Rock is the only character that really believe needs the buff. I am sure other characters could use some buffing also, but I think Rock is first in line for getting better.
 
I don't think any re-balancing (ie timing and damage changes) needs to be done in the initial patch; lets wait a while and let the dust settle first. But glitches/infinite/lag should be of utmost importance in this initial patch.

Oh I agree about buffing Rock... He still is the turd he was in 3.
 
I don't have many changes but for Hilde specifically, I would like her to have a little bit more distance or speed on the back dash, or at least another retreating move. It hurts her game to only have 1b, 7k, 7a. She needs some other options and preferably one that is a bit faster. ( know that 1b is pretty damn good, but I would like another option and one that is faster.) I would like to be able to get into her farther distance quickly/safely.

Also, on the c(1-3)A ->Heart of Justice thing. I think it is on purpose, it would give you the free c(1-3)A right? I think that it might be a bit buff if it were the case.
 
It would make that throw useful outside using it against the wall. I don't think it's on purpose.
 
Fix the HITBOXES!!! jesus.... Fix the infinites, glitches, and whatever else.... also about blocking yoshi's 44B~A SO WHAT! do you know how many hits your blocking when you block it?? It hits your block like 7 times you block it twice thats almost 14 fierce hits you've blocked.... why shouldnt it glow red? Its part of strategy..... Nothing needs to be done to any of the characters for balancing issues yet... I mean hell there hasnt even been any major tourneys yet... surely we have no idea how strong they are yet... What if they were to change something then you find something nasty with that character and now he is too strong.... Either way just fix the freakin HITBOX that is the worst thing i see about this game so far.... Oh and the characters fighting the other way when they get turned around is kinda bad too....

I completely agree that balancing shouldn't be the biggest issue or the first issue now. As it is, glitches and wiffs effect balance and might actually make a different when they are gone. I know that Tira's wiffs bother me during casual gameplay and I notice the same thing happening with Kilik periodically also now with 22A.

I do think that balance concerns should be voiced now though. I agree that it should not be in the first patch or even the second patch. The game is still new, and I doubt people really know how to abuse everything that can be abused, but simultaneously that some things that may be abused now might not be that good in like a year of playing the game.

Voice your concerns, but besides what I said about Rock, I don't think anything is imperitive. I could be wrong though.
 
yea, hit boxes are pissing me off. im too scared to use lizzys B+K in a match. WTF

also, we need some new game modes already! how about tag team versus(make it work somehow), and team battle.
its not that hard to do. so why the hell isnt bamco doing it? it would make it so much better
 
Hitboxes and whiffing are my two biggest problems. Especially WHIFFING, since it also pertains to ROCK!!! If I see one more horizontal go through someones midsection or feet, I'm gonna break Soul Calibur in two!! I have observed Rock, Rapaheal, Kilik, Siegfried and others whiff many horizontals and lows consistently.
 
I think there is a good game in here somewhere....

I'd really rather just play SC2 though
 
Allow you to exchange custom characters with friends. I'm too lazy to remake them on my own.

Give you something to do besides chat in Spectator Mode when you're waiting for your turn in Player Matches.
 
Please give us some visual options on CaS like how the Star Wars Characters don't seem to have a visual difference when you break their armor. Whats the point of spending 45+ minutes of a outfit only to lose it on the first hit of a match?

Works for me if I charge thru A+B button mapping.
 
lol, There are a couple things I've seen in this game that I think are retarded.

Astas 214 A's wiffs like nuts after the first hit. I seen someone get up off the ground inbetween it and stand while the axe just runs right through them a gillion times. WTF?

Also, Astas hold 1A B.....lol. Dude, online, this attacks rules. It seems impossible almost to block lows and GI online.. I've used that attack and won so many matches. Even good players get hit by it online. That shits retarded. ( The damage I mean. ) ( Its really good online, but there isn't a reason to GI it offline )

I also believe that people should NOT be able to pick stages during ranking matches, and that it should be random. I think its pure bullshit because I main nightmare and whenever I play someone, they pick a cage. LAME. They need to fix that and make it all random.

I also think they need to fix the whole blocking of the low attacks in this game. I've seen so many low attacks hit me, knew they were coming, and still got hit even though I swore I blocked low. Blocking low on reaction is hardcore BS in this game.

Same with throws, there nuts in this game. ( I can break throws, but the fact attacks get canceled by some grabs is wild..I've used Asta and nightmare and grabbed people through so many moves...they have improved grab range...but still, thats too much, lol. )

Thats pretty much all the problems I have, besides the ones that have been said already.

One last thing though... ( Sorry for the long rant guys )

Too many hitbox issues with Cassandra, Sophitia, Lizardman, Kilik, Talim, Nightmare and Seung Mina. Specifically the low hitbox is insanely difficult to hit and their special mids make them virtually unhittable. As is the only tournament-playable characters are those with special mids and the duck forward and luckily Voldo is still playable but because his hitbox isn't horribly busted and broken I don't list him with the "broken hitbox crew". In any tournament I'm going to play a character with a broken hitbox right now and you'd better counter with the same.
Actually Astaroth's multiple 50% combos may make him tournament playable, I guess there is one you can play because of sheer power.
