Predict the Character Reveal next week!

The fact that SC has drifted more and more away from "historical fighter" and more into "fantasy fighter" makes the incredibly accurate and basic Ezio stick out among the cast like a boner lol

Compared to the cast's overall whimsicality, Ezio is so boring, unlike Bayonetta, who makes ham look sexy lmao

The possibility of Bayonetta DLC makes me all happy inside hahahaha

He looked a bit too anime for me at the time and he's not from earth. Ezio is out of place by a couple hundred years but he fits into the Soul Calibur universe better than any other previous guest*, IMO.

*Kratos was cool enough with me as well, but the PSP version doesn't have the same place in my heart as the main releases.

For the modes reveal I would like to see something that hasn't actually been seen before. An entirely new mode no one knows about.

But you know it's probably going to be Legendary Souls or something.
 
Guest character could be Kratos! Think about, Dampiere was brought from Broken Destiny because no one really played it so many people (Especially God of War fans) would want to play Kratos.
 
People will get some of the feel of Kratos through Aeon, who has taken on several of his moves. Having him in is USELESS.

Honestly, I'm hoping that no comment was just a back door to a decision they weren't ready to make. I'm happy with one guest character.

I agree. I don't like guest characters either, and though Ezio was a good choice, I don't want another.

Where'd you hear this? In an interview, Ezio was planned as the original guest while AC: Brotherhood was still being developed (I assume near it's end). They chose him because Namco wanted to choose a character who fit in the SC timeline after the StarWars failed. The only involvement Bayonetta had with SCV was the fact the game designer made 3 2P outfits. Someone overhearing the costume designs was what probably started the rumor of Bayonetta being the guest.

But then I saw this article about CC2 making a new .hack game and releasing a .hack movie next month. I remember Idlemind was teasing someone earlier in this thread about a second guest being from an anime or JRPG and then the ugly thought came to me: a .hack character in SCV. There's already a reference to CC2's other games with Natsu so it would make sense for them to promote .hack as well especially since CC2 is so involved with this game.

I didn't ask for anything for Christmas but please please Santa/God/whoever let me be wrong and just overthinking things. I hope anyone who already knows the roster will read this and laugh their ass off at how wrong it is.

I think you're overthinking this. The reason they choose Ezio was because they wanted someone who would fit into the SC universe better than the StarWars characters did. .hack would be no different than StarWars because the atmosphere would be inconsistent too (although not as badly). I think Ezio might the only guest in SCV, but if they decided to have a second guest it would HAVE to be someone else from the Assassin's Creed series. It'd either be Altair, Cesare Borgia, or one of the characters from AC: Brotherhood's multiplayer (the courtesan, the doctor, the harlequin, etc,.). Besides, I don't think they'll ever have guests from different franchises playable in the same game disk. SCII may have had characters from different series, but each character was exclusive to a certain system.

Think about,
-It was yet used
-They can't use it because is console exclusive
-We basically yet got some of his style in Aeon
-We have yet a (perfect,for the first time) Guest and we don't need any more
-No
 
I'd love to see an older Talim/Setsuka. Zas being immortal/black should be confirmed for all Soul Calibur's ever. We'll see though.
