Predict the Character Reveal next week!

And Edgey (yuh gonna call him dat) makes a return from a loooong absence (since SC 1, more than a decade ago). And as for you, Algol....

Strange.

Perhaps we'll see more soon. I feel like I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum here, I couldn't care less about edgemaster, but I'm rather intrigued that Algol is supposedly in. I think of the boss characters, he's the one whose had the most actual character- And his moves were interesting, whiny whine bubbles aside.

Project Soul mentioned Algol when they were talking about addressing gameplay issues in SCIV. They aren't going to send him back in the way he was in IV. Though I admit I'll be disappointed if he's just a mimic character.

The general sentiment I've seen so far is overwhelmingly positive. Granted, the population I'm sampling has a bit more concern for game-play design over other factors. Best roster ever.

It's funny that everyone points at the bubbles as the worst thing about him... I hated the chair teleport and random spikes shooting out of his back at least as much.

But I'm willing to give him an honest chance, like I did in SC IV. Hopefully he's much improved, but if I still don't like him, I guess that's that. I can't like every character, I suppose.

Great to see Edge Master back. With luck, maybe he can be customized into Olcadan. I'll be very happy if he's a mimic character. I sorely missed a mimic character in SC4; they help me learn other characters. I'm indifferent towards Algol.

Algol and Edge Master huh? Well...

I really disliked Algol in SCIV. As a boss, he really kind of bored me a bit (though this may be because most of the characters had to fight him and I always heard his lines repeatedly lol And how he thought he was all mighty and powerful blah blah lol). I hated fighting against him... Like Habast said, it wasn't the balls that bothered me soo much, it was that damn random spike/teleport/chair attacks that annoyed the hell out of me. However... *sighs but smiles* Maybe Algol will be good in this game. I'm definitely hoping they fixed him up a bit. I really did want to like Algol, I liked his design & his personality (since he wasn't all insanely evil) but his somewhat annoying controls were what kind of killed him for me. So I'm willing to give Algol another chance. <: )

For Edge Master, I say cool pic. I was wondering if they were going to bring back either him or Olcadan and I remember suggesting them in "My Soul Calibur V Suggestions" vids I posted on youtube and I honestly had a feeling one of the other would make a comeback. Hopefully, they'll have Olcadan customization so you can make Edge Master appear like him. Either way, these two were not really what I was expecting but eh, cool to hear?

Seriously though, where is Talim! xD

I actually really like algol's design and character. I just hope he's not broken this time around...

Hey, wait a second! With this new bit of information, does anybody see a link between Algol and Viola??

Yeah, his design was pretty cool. Very fantasy-like with almost no heavy anime influence, love it. : )

And I'm not really sure on that one...

Algol: He's actually a good boss as far as personality goes, but with Nightmare and Siegfried also being bosses, and being more powerful than Algol, he obviously got the short end of the stick on SCIV. If he does become a boss on SCV, then he needs to have his moveset improved on. I also wouldn't be surprised if Algol didn't become a boss and was playable with somewhat of a revamped moveset. Games have pulled that route before.

Edge Master: I'm quite pleased of him being playable in the game, even though his behind should have been dead by now. He's one of the more relevant characters in the series, next to Inferno, that has the Mimic moveset.

I don't really care for either of the two chars. EM cause I don't like mimics, and Algol cause of his style and looks. But hey depending on how he appears and plays in SCV he could be pretty awesome
