I just got finished investigating via google what the problem is. I've stumbled upon a lot of stories of PSN being hacked or some shit. Either way, I agree, wtf.
 
Yeah I got to watch my brother be unable to get his PC copy of portal activated last night on account of that. He assumes this is the work of anonymous. Which would be a majorly uncool act on their part, let's face it.
 
YEA apparently that dude (Anonymous) claimed responsibility already. They crazy thing is, is that the hackers already said they were planning something.....

I'll give it one day. This has happened only once before, due to a Feb.29 issue. But c'mon, Long wknd and this shit has to happen?! ANd possibly TWO DAYS DOWN??!?! No PSN means No Long Wknd...FML...
 
Yea there is rumor PSN is being hacked and these hackers have some demands or something. Not sure if it's true.
 
Actually I remember it being in retaliation to that "Other OS" update they did...

I guess this means MvC3 Tonight and no Zombie/TDM run.....fuck it I'll just go clubbing
 
A few days ago Sony hired an anti-DDoS firm, Prolexic, to battle the hackers. This seems like a very serious situation in general, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes even more than 2 days to fix everything.
 
so now i have to spend the weekend learning kitana combos instead of just trolling PSN with sheeva stomp and utorrent.

Anon is not an organization. It has no permanent members. Anonymous is when 4channers get other 4channers (random people browsing /b/) to act towards a cause they believe is just. All you need to do in order to become a momentary "member" of anonymous is participate in one of their raids which is usually just running DDoS scripts.
 
WYF How So?!?!? Maybe its a Canada thing?! At least it doesn't show the error....so I guess that means progress...
