It's a crappy unblockable. You can use it as a cancel to make someone press buttons, but in high level play, just put it away.
 
Well some people train themselves not to react to UBs, so you might get away with using it on wake up, but I generally wouldn't use it in competitive play since good players will either step or JG it.

However, there is one decent use for it... Punishing nightmare's CE. Sidestep and 4B+K, then enjoy your free CE (or NS B:4 for a wall combo/RO).
 
I'm having a major problem... When do you input the 4 for JF 236B4? I'm also having trouble inputting regular 236B4 as well. I know it's something to do with the timing. Any tips?

When the sword enters the opponent's transversal colon, press 4. It's about 1F after impact.
 
No advices for that, you have to guess when it's the right time to press 4, once you get it you will do it naturally.

That's a problem, because I'm pressing 4, and the 4 never actually inputs. I've tried this many times, but nonetheless it never has inputted. 236B is great regardless, but still. This feels less like training and more like an exercise in frustration.

well try different times, I can't believe it has not inputted yet lol, tbh I don't get the 236:4 everytime I stab

but that is too generic, you have to find the right timing
 
When I'm not getting the :4 inputs, I just close my eyes. Weirdly, that helps me.
But I guess that relies on the move being in your muscle memory. Until then, you probably just have to keep at it, starting by using the visual cues, until you work out the timing.
 
A lot of people expect a penny to drop, but don't be surprised if you still have trouble with the execution. You probably won't feel a massive difference, but regularly hitting training will gradually help you get those stabs. GL anyways.

...Then again, when I learned to use DNS B as a whiff punisher, a penny dropped almost as fast as my opponent's body did :P
 
Well, I went into training and I got:
1 JF B+KB4
1 236B4

Hey, it's progress.

Also, I'm only concerned because it looks so easy when everyone else does it.
