Pyrrha Ω Gameplay Discussion / Q&A

66A is among my favourite moves of pyrrha omega, it's a good anti-step and it's safe (-12) if we pretend that apatroklos' CE doesn't exist, but the damage is very lame compared to 4AB and NS A

also I never use 4AB because it is -18 on block and that means a free viola 3B launcher, just for giving an example...

-12 isn't safe, any character with a generic AA can punish that. Ivy 6b8K, Cervy aB and Raph 6BB are no joke either.
At close range iWS A isn't a bad option I believe. It's like 66A but safer, I feel I should be using it more, but I have to admit I get better use out of 66A.

4A on its own isn't a bad option if you don't want to take any risks. You can use the hitstun to dash in closer then either throw or apply some guard pressure with attacks like 4B or 66B.

Actually Alpha can punish 66A with JF Twister as well. In fact now that I may be having more frequent casuals with an Omega player I might just focus more on that punish, heh heh heh.

I'm interested in picking this character up as a secondary because I like the way she plays and her strengths are polar opposites to Aeon's (retarded CE, strong block punishment, strong guard damage, frame traps, poking, good lows) which makes her a naturally strong option against many of Aeon's tougher matchups, e.g. Siegfried, aPat, Raph, Ivy, Asta, Viola, Mitsu.

Anyways, that's the reason I find myself here, wondering why she has a Gameplay Discussion/Q&A thread and a General Discussion thread.

Well, getting dem 236B JFs. Just need to keep practicing to keep up the consistency of the JF, but it's hard to balance with TTT2, other games and practicing my guitar. Damn, I need to organize my time better.

Is 4AB only NCC at closer ranges? Had someone block it on a run counter today.

Also, 66B is free after air GIs and combos with the fall damage.

Probably known already? but just putting it out there...

with CH 44K, if you use 44B+K as the followup and the opponent decides to tech, you get extra damage. Most noticeable in multi-hit combos, like CH 4K, 44K, 44B+K, as the 44B+K can jump from a scaled 21 damage to 30 damage with tech.

Wall combo applications, maybe?

Probably a hitbox thing...? Seems to work out alright in practice at tip range...

4[A]A → 3B → CE
44A tech traps all directions afterwards. Only 143 damage but it wallsplats in front of you AND leaves you at the perfect angle for NS B:4 wallsplat followup.

Has anyone else experienced a glitch in which Omega seems to randomly use an attack while you're in your 8 way run, even though you didn't press an attack button? It seems to be happening to me quite frequently now, and it's happened while I was playing on someone else's console with someone else's pad so it's not just my controller.

I managed to save one replay in which it happened (no idea why I didn't think of doing this sooner) and set it to display my inputs. Notice how the 22B comes out before I even press an attack button.

I've experienced this once with Pyrrha in which she randomly used 33B, but this glitch seems to mainly be an Omega thing in my experience. Any ideas why it's happening?

Yeah this happens to me too occasionally...

Idk what the reasoning is, but since it seems to only affect me online I haven't been TOO bothered by it. It sometimes seems that the game is just hanging on to inputs for a really long time after certain moves. :(

Oh, it's happened to me offline as well. And no one else there had experienced the glitch so I think it was just assumed that I was making excuses :P

You may be right about it being after certain moves though, as I don't think this is the first time it's happened after NS B4.

Yeah, usually a "dirty" input for NS B/DNS B tends to give me that dreaded 33B or 22B (that or a punish on a move with weird block stun).

Also, it has happened to me offline but I was just saying it happens far more often to me when I play online.

Either way it's really dumb... Last time this happened I got the random 33B blocked and punished for a loss ;/
