Pyrrha will be in SCV

Maybe it's because I've heard Sophie do it for over a decade, but you're supposed to sound a lot more cold-blooded when you do Sophie's side throw.

My first impression is that this is anime dub syndrome. Americans don't sound like Japanese. It's one thing to be able to do good impressions, but if you can't do them for heaven's sake don't. It would be so much better if voice actors just spoke in a more natural voice.

How important is it to sound "authentic" anyways? Our impression of whiny little girls who run from everything is very different than the Japanese. You can sound like you don't have that much confidence without sounding like a total idiot, and that would be far more effective than just trying to copy the Japanese. Then again, these people are paid to read cards, not to actually think about the effect on the audience.
 
She looks fun, albeit more like Sophie than Cass. Maybe its because I'm watching and not analyzing gameplay, but her moves seem to have a lot of expression than those of Cass in previous games (more gestures or something), so its just fun to watch. I hate her voice script though.
 
Just another reason to turn my system onto Japanese voices and leave it there forever. Not understanding what they say is the only saving grace.

Goddamn why do the characters TALK SO MUCH in this series.

this is the only problem i have with her.
besides that, favourite and most interesting character in the Soul series so far.

she doesnt know how to fight... nervous... alone... doesnt want to hurt anyone, but is forced to by whatever her particular motivation is (im assuming saving sophitia)
...she just wants a peaceful life... but shes having to fight for it, and by doing so, she takes other peoples lives... im sure that selfishness eats her up inside...

shes great, and i love how all of this comes across in her general use, stance and win quotes, rather than background lore.

To be honest, I really like Pyrrha. She is beautiful and funny at the same time.
What more could one want?

I am using Sophitia as my secondary character in SC4 at the moment and I really look forward to use Pyrrha in SC5. She is like the opposite of Ivy, who is confident and quite arrogant all the time. :D
So I really like the fact that they add a lot of variety in terms of personality. :)
 
I absolutely LOVE her "My head hurts" victory taunt, but i cant find it, does someone know where it is on the recorded streams?

oh.. and,

She sounded kind of insane once when she said "please stop!!" after her CE, She is REALLY suffering inside apparently O.O.
 
I'm beginning to think that she's possessed by Sophitia or something. It would explain how she uses the sword and shield despite never seeing her family as well as the slightly weird win quotes like "My head hurts" and "I'm confused."
 
Her throw is so freaking disgusting.
(You cheated on your girl. She found out. You come back home, it's dark so your turn on the lights. You find her in your room. You're confused as she pulls you close to her, surprisingly strong she pulls you on to the bed and....You get fucking impaled by a huge kitchen knife...she pushes you off of her, as you lay there blood gushing out of your stomach in disbelief...she says shacking her head," It's not my fault! You brought this on yourself." And runs outs of your house hysterically.)

Yeah that's what I imagine.

Isn't this taking her attitude to the extreme? Sophitia said sorry once in a while, but Pyrrha is taking this to a whole new level. She seems to be depressed and sad all the time.

Funny, I was watching the stream too and all this made me like her. She'll probably be my 2nd favorite character next to Ivy. How could you hate a character that yells "Sorry...!" as she's falling when she gets ringed out or attacks by making you fall on her (and her sword)?

Besides, she's not 100% timid. She does have quite a few aggressive attacks. Sure, she apologizes or asks if her opponent is okay afterwards, but still...
 
I bet Pyrrha and Noel from Blazblue would be best friends.

Her personality probably comes from her unpleasant childhood and from taking after Sophitia. I don't like characters with the "I'm sorry" attitude apologizing for every little thing. I want to see her completely lose it and yell in a demonic voice while she kills everything.
 
That's what happens when you complain about Cassandra. You get her exact opposite.

I bet Naruto fans are gonna have some fun. _As if they didn't have enough games already..._

But possessed by who? It could be evil/corrupted Sophitia's spirit that is in a twisted way keeping her safe (helping her to fight). Of course, this whole theory is very far fetched.
 
She's not possessed... just confused. That Sword n Elk Shield magically gave Sophitia skills in Soul Edge (Blade). Now that Pyrrha has them, probably stolen from Tira and given to her. Tira and the new Soul Edge host are telling her what to do and Pyrrha obeys since they raised her. Sophitia is probably the new NM since you hear Sophie's VA at the beginning of the second trailer: "We'll live forever... my dear girl"

That's her Patroklos-specific victory animation. Her head hurts because that's her brother she just defeated. Pat also shouts "Pyrrrrhaaaa" sorrowfully, so I think Pat knows that's his sister.

Oh and btw she says "I can't... stop!" for her CE. You know what, scratch that, she is being controlled. By the Player! 4th wall breach!
 
I find the design super-annoying. If it's explained in story I may find it less annoying.

I get the impression they're trying too hard to make her moe.
 
just watched a bit of pyrrha vid.. and omg.. i hate her alot shes so annoying her voice is annoying her depressing look is annoying.. she comes close to SF4 ryu thats how annoying she is :P. She wont be a char i play with... or even against :P

I remember seeing that, but I can't find it anymore. Can you please direct to it if possible? I don't remember Patroklos shouting her name.
