How did I know you would like that one?

Anyway... does anyone on this site read books or....

I do. I read through things pretty slowly (nly a few minutes a day) but I do read books all the time. We don't appear to be in the same interest group book wise though. I like a lot of documentary styled books like "wallstreet: america's dream palace", "oil on the brain", "fast food nation", "as far as the eye can see" and "in democracy's good name". Oh hey I got one. It's kind of a horror thriller. Have you read world war z yet? May as well before they make the film. It's about zombies. I don't know if that's a plus or minus in your eyes but I couldn't put it down, finished it in two days. Usually when i read fiction I peter out of a book halfway through.

I read anything I can get my hands on. Strategy guides, manga, novels, even Nutrition Facts. I can't eat without reading.

I'm a manga fanatic in particular, but when I read novels, I can get pretty absorbed. 1984, Of Mice and Men and The Giver were some of my favorites. But yeah, I read as much as I listen to music, which is almost all the time.

I read, 'Cept most of my stuff is geared more towards teens, but I do like mystery and gore. I also like some Sci-Fi books (Ender's Game is boss), books about Angels/Demons and others.

A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson
Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa
Genghis: Birth of an Empire by Conn Igulden

...not your style really, but my favorites. Musashi especially. It's over 900 pages so should keep you tied up for a couple of days anyway. :)

I'll look into that... I do enjoy all literature, it's just that those genres are my favorites atm. 900 pages would be nice if I could get into it. This last one I read came in at 466 and I finished it in 3 days... I should get a library card lol.

I should get a library card lol.

So my city builds itself a new library. It's pretty nice. Clocktower, Two story modern interior, auditorium.

Okay, So I know what you're saying. WTF, so many pictures. Just trying to give you a little tour. Even then there are no satisfactory pictures on the internet of the place's interior everyone is fixated on the outside but it's pretty nice. I may have to take some myself seeing that nobody has. So the point of this? Library late fees are now a dollar a day on books. I know what you're saying big deal right? But it's a lot more than the five cents they used to charge at the old crummy location. Plus the fact that you check out two or three books at once, let's say you miss your due date by ten days... twenty? Okay that starts to really hurt. I've probably doled a ps3 out to them by now.

Cool library, bro.

Mine's two floors, but only one is open to the general public. The top has offices and a special section for visiting elderly from the nearby old folks' home. I was up there for volunteer work, and it's a pretty cool place, despite being very small.

Copied pasted from a post I made in the gaming forum. Watch these if you need to hate something:

On the subject of old things that make you rage however, since the switch to digital TV we've been getting the "THIS" network. They show old episodes of the outer limits to fill time. GOOD GOD. The old outer limits is a horribly BORING AWFUL BLACKHOLE FROM WHICH NO ENJOYMENT CAN ESCAPE. The show is so fucking terrible so bad so BAD, what the fuck were they thinking? Why are there so many episodes of it in existence? How did they ever think it could compete with the twilight zone?

Sometimes, sometimes it's hilariously bad. For a while... until you wonder why they stretch out the suffering for a whole hour.
PREPARE FOR SOME BULLSHIT:

fuck hulu GJ... motha fuck a hulu.
I Despise Hulu man. But it was the only place to find this episode online. Not because people wanna pirate it and they put it there for safekeeping, but cause nobody gives a shit about this show. And rightfully so.

Lol, one of the episodes is actually called "Zzzzz."
Yes you did not imagine that. That is the name of the episode. Which is a sure fire guarantee of quality right?

If I were an executive contemplating a release of this show it would only be with a bonus audio track from some Best Brains alumni.

Just picked up this book and I gotta say... I'm hooked after an hour, hardcore medical/sci-fi thriller that started out with a bang. Plus the cover is dank as shit and there's Sinatra music in it... I mean... come on.
