So, I think it would be safe to assume Raphael is looking for Amy/Viola, based on the fact that he is holding Amy's hairband. Feel free to leave suggestions below.
 
If Viola really is Amy, then that would mean they could end up fighting each other in the canon plot. She sided with ZWEI iirc, so that could lead to conflict.
 
According to his bio, he is looking for Amy. Everything else in his bio is exactly the same as it was before.
 
I wonder if Raphael will get credit for killing Sophitia (and anyone else confirmed to be killed by a malfested)

Didn't Amy/Viola lose her memories? I figure that something happened to her that caused her to forget everything (including Raphael) and never returned to his castle (because she forgot about it.) Now he is looking for her.

I wonder about this "Raphael is supposed to be dead" thing. That didn't happen in SC4, except perhaps in Amy's ending... which I had taken to be a joke ending.

Maybe someone (Kilik or Patroklos, wanting to avenge his mother's death perhaps) came in and killed him and freed Amy from her curse, which destroyed her memories as well (for some reason). But then, he was too awesome so he came to life (and killed Kilik, maybe). That's my take. XD

I think Kilik is dead or the new Nightmare, as Daishi commented that he had a "tragic fate", or something along those lines, and Leixia is wearing his necklace.

No, Nightmare is Rudolf II, it said so on the Facebook page. I remember thinking that Raphael killed Sophi when it was first announced she was killed by a 'malfested', but then I hopped aboard the Sophimare train as soon as I saw the Comic-Con trailer. "You and I can live forever, my darling-" "PYRRHA!" But, yeah, Raphael probably killed her.

I can't believe Twilight managed to infiltrate Soul Calibur... But I hope it won't be a romance thing for Raphael and Viola/Amy though. Of course, I'll be supporting Raphael and I hope he is reunited with his daughter. Father power! Yeah!
 
Why are you associating Twilight with SoulCalibur?
They're nothing alike, keep away from the Twilight bull.

Vampires and wolves happened long before that book and will continue to happen without the influence of Twilight. If I see someone else mentioning Twilight, I'll rage.
 
Yeah I agree, just because it's vampire vs. werewolf it doesn't mean it's Twilight. Unless Twilight is very popular in Japan. Someone get some statistics on that.

In the meantime, I'm happy that Raphael may have been the one to kill Sophitia, but honestly this story is lacking. Amy being captured by someone and Raphael forced to save her is cool, but amnesia is never a good plot device unless you're in a survival horror game.
