Viv: I usually just leave flash chat on and go idle.

So like, provolone is top tier! Though that cheddar is pretty awesome. The sharp kind, obviously. Mild is for the weak.

- the timing for her 1B:B and FC 3B:B is the same... fairly easy... if u buffer it sometimes before u r properly recovered from a move however, it might mess up ur timing...

- to master 1A:A:A what i do is go to practice mode and view the move in her command list... then every time she HITS the opponent with EACH "A"s i press "A"... do that enough time... now exit the command list... and if u had memorized the timing its exactly the same timing that u have to press the 3 "A"s when u r just doing the move just by itself...

- JF umbrella is not NEEDED unless u r trying to connect it after FC 3B:B in a combo or a:g:B in the air... so what i do is i set the opponent in practice mode to just lay down... and do A+K,B; Umbrella over and over again... gives u muscle memory... which is good cause 80% of her combos use Umbrella as finisher...

- a:g:B this is tricky... i just set B+G on one of the shoulder buttons... then i just slide a~g and tap B+G really fast... but the thing is is wont be a JF if ur thumb isnt OFF the "g" when u press B+G... doing this method also works for Nightmare and Seigfried's a:g:A...

- B+K:B this ones pretty easy... two quick taps... i practice it off of CH 22A...

It will be JF, in my vid i made a:[g:[b+g]] 3 times, and it was jf.
But you must let A button when you press G, if you dont then throw will come out.

Shenrei, i donk know, i just playing this game:P.

I stopped playing online. It's really not the same game online. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

You can basically plan on some amount of lag. When I play against a friend of mine who lives approximately 100 miles away (5 bar connection), there's always about a 10 millisecond delay, which may not sound like much, but you notice it.

Playing against anything less than a 4 bar connection (which is about the best I've found with random online matches) simply doesn't work. Even with a 4 bar connection, you'll be hard pressed to do anything on reaction (so don't expect to be breaking many throws, or doing many GIs, or teching many falls).

So yeah, it really is that bad. Especially when compared with things like VF5, which has flawless online (I played that against people who live on the other side of the country, and felt no lag), and SF2HDR which also has flawless online play (I have no idea where my opponents are in that, but never seen any lag there either).

Setsuka Lounge

Phew, so even with a 5 bar connection there is still a little bit delay huh.
I guess it is difficult to play with Setsuka even if there is just a slight delay.

Setsuka Lounge

So, someone on flashchat asked me if JF Umbrella is safer or faster than regular umbrella. I typed "safer" while thinking I was actually typing "faster."

You can all fire me now.

Monday mornings :(

I think it just means you need to rely on internal knowledge of her timing rather than visual cues. For example, if you know the timing for :1::B:::B: such that you can do it in your sleep, you'll be able to do it online. But if you're relying on the visual cue of the hit to do it, it's going to fail almost every time.

The worst part about online is what it does to your offline game. My offline game still suffers horribly because of playing online.

Not that bad. You could type "it gives advantage", that would be pretty bad;/.

Setsuka Lounge

You mean it doesn't give advantage?!??! oh noes! >.> I thought I could win a match just by repeated JF Umbrella spam!!!

On a similar note, *why* is the third hit of 1A:A:A a guard break when it will never hit someone blocking? Is this Namco's way of telling us that Setsuka is indeed the most flashy character in the game? :X

But oh, how awesome it would be if you could actually do the third GB hit if someone blocked the second one. Broken yes, but still awesome!

I don't think it'd be very broken at all considering it's a high and the second hit on block knocks them FAR out of hit range.

Setsuka Lounge

When I first heard about 1:A:A:A GB then I where thinking like most of you that this is just a bug. Until they give us a path where second hit after JF make bigger bush back. Still I don’t know wtf, why they do something like that. I where trying to find a way or some glith to block that third hit but it can’t be done. The same situation where with mitsu A+B+K aGI GB in sc3, they also give it for flashy stuff. But even there it wasn’t as bad as this, there was VC and you really could just block this first GB hit.

Ah, true. What I meant was if there was a way for them to be forced to block the third GB hit just for blocking the first hit. That would make 1A:A:A safe. lol
