Culture? Uh American southwest? Coastal pacific? Do you mean ethnicity? Because that'd be a pickle for me. I'm hispanic and white and I don't think I'm really more one or the other. In fact in southern california that's pretty common. There was an author hear tell by the name of Garreau who called this region Mexamerica. He argued that the mexicans were becoming angloized and the anglos were becoming mexicanized and the region was a distinct cultural territory/identity.

I believe that almost everyone here is "mixed" in one way or another. I have a dominant German side but the african american genes reigned dominant in terms on how I look physically but you look at my mother, grandmother, and great grandpa (especially him). Pale as F#%*! That and the case that my last name literally means white/pale in skin color/complexion.

I found it funny because everything had its technical term except the BLACK choice. Normally it would be African American. but in this case it was Caucasian, Latino, Native American, Asian, Middle Eastern, Eastern Indian, and BLACK.
