Yeah if I don't get at least around 10 people to RSVP "Yes" then I'm going to have to reschedule this AGAIN. But honestly I'm almost about to give up on southern cali :(
 
the socal community has died in socal, well to me at least, but w/ Evo coming up in 4 months, i could use the practice. Is Algol alowed? might as well use him since there's no ban on him this Evo.
 
If you don't live in SoCal and are talking shit to us, kindly shut the intercourse up because you have no fluffing idea how hard it is to keep up with hobbies with real life in the way.

And with that we are in junior high. Oh well I hope there is a decent turn out for the tourney and other words that are positive. Hope to see the folks there that will show up and all that good stuff. Oh yeah viscious... your goin down this time homie! (pause)

Not many people are sensible on this site. Don't take offense. I really hope I can make it, but it looks kinda shady for me right now. =/

I hope the turnout if great and you all have a good time. It's kinda sad that things have been dead down there, but maybe some competition will get the blood pumping again.

Somebody still needs to commit to bringing a PS3, unless you all have sticks that work on 360 and you don't care.
 
Okay, so this seems a little late and unfortunate that I decided to check out the tourney scene today... day of this tourney :-P. Any ways, I have a PS3 available that I can bring (let me know if you need AV cables or HD ones) and I have a couple sticks people can use if needed. I live in Rancho Cucamonga, so it'd be a bit of a hike for me to get out there, but I don't mind. I am not active in the SC4 scene mostly because it has kind of died down as of late in SoCal and is kinda hard to find players. AIM me if you guys are interested: Ducksbyob.

On a side note, I think what the SC4 SoCal community needs is some incentive. This game isn't a popular as say SF4, but it's still got a good following. I don't know if any of you pay attention to the SF4 scene, but their community just recently had a HUGE turnout for an event they called "Barfights" (the event was at a bar/lounge). Basically, the tourney organizers put up some cash and said if any no names beat a "pro" they get the cash. People saw "free" and "tournament" and they had a 400+ turn out. Now, I don't bump into anyone that DOESN'T play SF4. I'm sure something similar would happen in any other game's community if there was some sort of incentive to play. With that said, I would be down to throw up some cash to have a tourney that would be as close to free as possible with 100% or more payout just to see how many players we got (if not just to shut up those NorCal folk :-P). Here in Rancho there is a local gaming store called Shuffle and Cut that holds any kind of game tourney you can think of. I know the owners, so I'm sure we could use there facilities to hold a tourney. We'd only need peeps to bring systems/games.

Rob and I are coming, leaving the house now, so we'll be there at 1:45-2:45ish, give or take, depending if we get food or not.
 
I might be able to be there but I'd be a little late. Gonna try to make some moves to get a car to get down there. Wish me luck guys. It sucks when your car is broken and you always have to bum someone else's. =(
