Soul Calibur: 3D Model Review/Rant

Well, you should know who made it in the first place. lol
huh?

Still, this thread is a rant thread. Obviously, people will come here to complain about the renders and the art; it's only to be expected.
Sure, but I was in no way wrong to chime in here and tell you guys you're being too self-entitled. Art is subjective, not something you demand be made "correct" in terms of your own personal vision. You guys were going about it in the wrong way and I couldn't stand not saying anything.

I don't think everyone making suggestions/critiques are saying that they definitely should do *insert here*. They are just saying what they think might have made so and so better but at the end of the day, Project Soul's art team has the final say. And besides, I may make tiny crits like how I don't like how something turned out but that's why I do fan art. I draw a character how I would or imagine to see them and that satisfies me.

3D renders are just another medium for art. The renders don't need to fit the conceptual art and vice versa. They have different constraints and strengths. They might need some touch ups, but they aren't required to fit the vision of the other.
The concept art is what they initially want the character to look like however with the 3D Models barely resembling in obvious detail cuts and proportion
If its "another medium" *rolls Eyes* - of the same art then it is perfevtly relevant to compare what became what. If theyre some flaws then they'll be pointed out; as thats what editors do. Thats all this thread is.

This isnt an ambstract silhouette debate. Its a comparison of what is given. Both figures are objective. This is so-and-so character, this is them in 3D. It wouldn't matter if differences were minimal but ifthey'e this obvious then its clear something was flawed. This isnt what I want them to do these characters, this is what should have been carried over. Like Photocopying a picture, you run out of ink, picture wont be fully visable. Not satisfied you print another getting all the inking.

lol someone actually trying to judge the content in a casual forum.
