Soul Calibur 5 Guest/Bonus/CAS Character Discussion

ZOMG!! this means the GREEN RANGER really will be in SC5 and his CF will be the DRAGON ZORD crushing his opponent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
The non PG version of the TMNT would be a great addition. 4 guest characters with 4 different fighting styles/weapons.

Namco/Bandai just announced a new game called "Knight's Contract". It's their take on the recent flood of action games. You play as two different characters (Heinrich and Gretchen) and they have this sort of quasi, cooperative thing going on with it. It's still a single player game i believe but you have to use Heinrich for most offensive attacks while Gretchen is mainly there for spell casting and what not. Don't quote me on this one but i think the Heinrich is totally invincible but Gretchen takes damage obviously so much of the game revolves around protecting her from damage.

Anyway, this would be an obvious choice for a guest character seeing as they wouldn't pay for it. I emphasize "a", as in singular because should they decide to add them in, i would guess Namco would try to make them both into a single character. Perhaps similar to how Carl/Nirvana works in Blazblue. Don't know how they would balance that and make it workable on a 3D fighter but it could be an interesting, fun and unique idea provided they go about it right.
 
What SC NEEDS, wont happen. You guys wouldnt let it.

And somehow creating a new logo without Nightmare in it for Soul Calibur 5 is a brickwall for production im assuming.

Nightmare is the central antagonist of the entire series, whether you like it or not. If Nightmare (Inferno) didn't exist, Soul Edge would not exist, therefore Soul Calibur would have no meaning and the story gets flushed down the toilet. This would also kill any reason for Siegfried to continue being in the series.
 
And again I'm not gathering how its impossible to write Nightmare out of the story and keep Sieg. Just like he's important now its easy to get rid of him. Didnt Tekken kill Jun by Tekken 2 and shes still relevant in 6?


This isnt really worth getting into about, because its literally a storyline and those never matter in fighting games to begin with.


Wittle the cast back down to a manageable number since SC3 and 4 clearly had issues and then expand upon that. KoF12 did it. KoF13 is a step in the right direction. Calibur needs to be purged.
 
I am...literally at a loss of how brain dead you are on this, after I just got finished explaining that the entire series cannot exist without the central antagonist. This, is absolutely true of any and every series.
 
Im sure people said the same thing when Soul Calibur introduced a complete pallet swap of the Soul Blade cast. Im sure people said the same thing when Street Fighter 3 introduced a completely new cast. Im sure people said the same thing when Tekken 3 introduced a completely new cast. Im sure people said the same thing when Garou introduced a completely new cast to Fatal Fury only keeping Terry Bogard.


So your logic revolving around Nightmare being so important that he couldnt possibly be excluded from Soul Calibur 5 (should there ever be one) is a weak argument. Getting rid of him is just as easy as giving Siegfried all his SC3 moves back along with some of Nightmares.


Why am I arguing with you? You just joined 8WR this month and your main character is The Apprentice.
 
And my apprentice, nightmare, siegfried, mitsurugi, taki, and cervantes will rip your ass to shreds, dick. Ive played the Soul series since Soul Edge, that's right fucktard, I said Edge. The very first arcade cabinet with 8 characters before they revamped it to Soul Edge v.II and then Soul Blade and ported it to the PS1, and I've played every incarnation of the soul calibur series since.

I'm not a tournament player hence I never knew of this place, but this entire community seems stacked against your sorry ass, and now me included. You want to throw around stupid comments, go for it, you'll only be met with a fierce resistance to your stupidity. Enjoy trying to defend yourself on every post you make here.

And again, I'll state it for your Idiocracy mind. The entire soul series cannot exist WITHOUT the central Antagonist. It would never make sense and you're a complete retard for thinking so.
 
Forget guests, bring back link assassin and charade, and if one more noob goes omg I can has sephiroth in sc5, then I'm gonna freaking scream.
