Soul Calibur 5 Guest/Bonus/CAS Character Discussion

Then why bring up anything about people crying over her and I don't give a flying fuck about story/character progression. I was strictly talking about theis abilities and how they could translate to SCV
*raises eye brow* Why are you being so rude for no reason. I was not attacking you so that was all not needed. I was just giving my opinion, calm down.

Well if everything stays within the context of fighting then there would be no problem.

I would go with Hilde for Treila. She would make her have that big sister feel that she had in the anime.

On that, we can agree. Cloud is what would become the token emo character. Wonder why that is? It is actually somewhat batman's fault.

Not a lot of people realize this, but what they aim for is brooding and not emo. They just go to over board. What they wanted cloud to be was a slightly "edgier" batman. As you can see, they failed miserably.
Badman not once grieves about his parents or "friends" after he saves the world. He gets over his problems.

First: batman, not badman.

Second: where have you been? He always grieves. The whole reason he became batman in the first place was BECAUSE of his parent's death. He never wants something like that to happen to anyone else, so he creates his persona and defends the city from those who would do it harm. All the while keeping in the back of his mind that he has to seperate his feelings from saving people. He grieves silently. For the ones he can not share his heart with (talia al guhl). For his wards and sideckicks (both robins and gordon's daughter). He grieves a lot, he just does so in a way that does not hinder him from what he has to do.

1. Typo chill out. I type fast.
2.The two characters have a different way of handling stress. BATman is stengthed by it as a character. Clouded wants us to feel for him by making us aware he's sad and not letting US sympathize for him where we feel he should be granted our pity. A strong character has emotion but the feelings towards the character is based on the viewer. If I were to feel for someone, I should feel thier pain empathetically, not be told when and how long I need to cry for.

I don't care how bias I am with Cloud but, I hate his fanbase regardless. the name "cloud" doesn't exactly sound badass.

1.) Im joking, you chill xD.
2.) you are correct on that, but what you said before is the opposite to what you say now. The thing is, batman never gets over his problems. He actually does not embrace them till many years later. However, that never stops him from doing what he must without fear or doubt. He ignores it till someone tells him to wake the hell up and get with the program. This is why I like batman, he grows even when you think he has no feelings. He is more human than any other dc super hero.

True, giant shotgun, giant spear, it would work.
And I could care about Batman,

So how in-depth is the new character creation supposed to be? I saw the video on it, but internet at work here is slow so I can't watch it.

Thats what makes him a good character. Not as relatable as others but he is strong for TV. The saddest things are triggered by everything around the actual problem. There's also a length of time a character can be attached to another before it gets irritating... (naruto?)

Do not get me started on that shit xD. But yes, batman is what the whole emo sensation took from, except trying to make them more edgy. Again, did not work so well did it?

Now that you mention it, Cloud, Lightning, Snow, terms popularized by your local meteorological station. "That's what your going to use for character names Square Enix?

And your serious?"

As for CaS, it would be so nice if your created character, though using an established characters weapons and moves, didn't have to idle stance as them (in the menus and stuff).

Oh! I just had a thought, would Princess Mononoke (the actual girl in the movie) work in the SC universe?

Reave, I've not the slightest what your talking about.

Well, the actual timeperiod of that movie is uncertain to me. At first I think Sengoku Era. However, I can not be certain. Then again, that whole tribe makes me think of different time periods all of which far before 1400 let alone 1600.

But it is not weather or not she would fit, it is weather or not she is popular. The only reason they have guest characters is to sell the game. Enter Ezio.
