I was rather disappointed in PS's own use of mythology to design Natsu given that Arahabaki is different from the Kyuubi (nine-tailed fox) motif that she achieved.

However, Arahabaki itself makes for an interesting figure to use for Natsu. According to mythology, it represents "rebellion" and was used primarily for protection from wars (coincidentally SC kind of revolves around one).

Even though I could only find very few information on him, it's implied that Arahabaki is either good or evil alignment.

Not sure if you've seen this yet, but they changed their cover photo. I'm liking how it's 100% classic characters. Hope this guarantees they're all in SCVI.
I dig it. That plus Nightmare, Raph, Xianghua, Maxi, and Astaroth would make a great starting roster.

Awwww, hopefully this is a good sign.

I must confess (that my loneliness... sorry) that I kinda got used to Pyrrha, Pat, Viola, and ZWEI (the others should go to Astral Chaos and stay there). Hopefully they'll find a way to put ZWEI in it (we know nothing about him, let's say he's born 17 years earlier and voilà, a new character) and Viola (though I'd prefer Amy ^^).

Cervantes' story was interesting, I wanted to know how he got a body... But well, that shall do it ^^ And no Kilikmaster? That's a dream!

Let's just hope they don't pull the "Talim, Taki, and Sophitia travel to the future..."
There is no shame in liking SCV characters, they are victims of the circumstances more than anything. I love Xiba, even more than Kilik, I must say, and I don't mind saying that, Xiba has a fun personality and he is the result of Kilik and Xianghua's romance, which was very beautiful, so there is plenty to like about him. Also, Viola got her profile deleted, so its very likely that she is gonna be removed, though due to her being pretty much Amy, I doubt its a loss, since the latter surely would be added to the game. Also, hell no, no time travel, I hate that, it fucks timelines and stories.

After V, Lost Swords, and Unbreakable Soul, I wouldn't be surprised they'd think of such a shitty plot.
I understand complaining about the plot in SCV, but SCLS and SCUS are cheap games based on gaining money through microtransactions, they are not meant to have a huge and complicated plot. I understand hating these games based on how lazy they were, but based on story, you can complain about any other, but not them.

I don't even think I reached that far. I used to make pages in the SC Wikia about the characters from SCLS, but I ran out of patience, none of them were really interesting, not a single saving grace.

The fact they put newcomers and veterans together, for no reason, and it worked (how many ultra-fans paid 60 bucks for a single character?), is what I fear. If they want big money, they know that there will be (stupid) cash cows buying every single DLC just because it has "Soulcalibur" stamped on it. They pulled the random story, people bit in it, and voilà, PS have the impression they can do whatever they want without us complaining.

That's why DLCs are also a matter of stupidity: people were outraged by DLCs ("one extra mission for $1?! That's insane!"), but stupid sheep kept buying them, game companies continued, and now our era is "Our game will be released in 2017, half storyline, for $60. But don't worry, we already got 15 DLCs ready, some containing storylines, other containing fully finished characters, for only $10 each!" and it still works.

If stupidity makes companies thrive, why would they stop baiting stupid people and keeping their awful policies?

Other news regarding their "polls": has anyone else noticed that they skipped Elysium vs. Zasalamel?

I don't think they'll be that careless with their DLC. They don't consider SCLS a success, otherwise, the game would still be up, they should be aware that it was not only disappointing, but also insulting, since it was an annoyance for players more than it was fun. And if they are resorting to the playerbase to know the popularity of their characters, they surely are doing their research based on what people would despise as DLC. Any company should be smart to do that, even though people still buy the DLCs, giving your franchise a bad name, specially when its not even the most famous (like SF and MK are), would be a really bad idea. They will hardly ever go above these titans, so they should appeal to something else, showing themselves as "the nicest ever" and giving fair priced, non-bullshit additional content.

I really hope you're right. DLCs are a cancer to video gaming, and the worst part if customers wishing for DLCs (some people retweeted by Harada want DLCs for Tekken, even worse: they want CHARACTERS as DLCs...).

I hope they won't miss the sport this time, or we will have to kiss our beloved series the last goodbye.

In Tekken Tag 2 there was a few DLC characters, though they were all free because I don't think Harada believed in that shit.

I don't see what the intrinsic issue with DLC is. If it adds substantial content to the game that is worth the money, there is no issue.
There is a big issue, however, if there is too much DLC of too much of the same content or, worse, story content.
