i think it's really unfortunate that the hair models haven't been updated to more current gen methods of rendering. UE4 doesn't look good with a very few number of hair 'plates' as the lighting becomes exaggerated, like lili in T7, and few plates with large transparent textures isn't as effective as in other engines. (see how odd the edges look with sophitia's bangs?)
it isn't going to happen, but i'd love to see the hair look a bit more like paragon's, where there are a ton of plates with detailed hair textures and a couple actual 3d strands sticking around. sophitia and mitsurugi's hair is acceptable, especially compared to T7, but we haven't seen anyone else and there's still room for improvement.

The way light scatters across the organic surfaces in paragon look way different (higher quality) than SC.

Are the models that detailed in actual in-game ?

Sophitia's giant hair "plates" in Lost swords for comparison:

You gotta keep in mind a few things - In Paragon, Sparrow's hair doesn't move all that much. Her braid just kind of stiffly flops around. Also, that kind of detail could theoretically jeopardize the 60 FPS that Soul Calibur would need to run properly across all formats.

U play Paragon??? Add me to friends - Himiteshu :)

My personal favorite iteration of Aeon/Lizardman was SCIV with the ribbed frills (not too fond of the winged version...).

It seems like a given that Astaroth of all people would get a drastic redesign (look at SC3 > SCIV) but the rest of them sans Kilik and Xianghua all have unique characteristics that I'm sure some of the more vocal parts of the fandom would be upset if they were phased in the reboot. Maxi's anachronistic pseudo-Elvis Presley aesthetic, Taki's bright latex suit, Ivy's...Ivy in general. The interesting thing about Siegfried is that he himself got a drastic redesign (outside of being Nightmare anyway) with going from a clean-cut blonde knight to a broody, scarred more Guts-esque aesthetic with his signature golden tresses.

In the event that Siegfried and Nightmare are somehow separate and playable in SCVI, would Siegfried have long hair or short hair?
I'd like to Ivy Ivy's Ivys if you know what I mean.

SC1 Siegfried had the long hair and iconic eye scar.

People seem to mix up or forget that it was Soul Calibur II where Nightmare and Siegfried were the same character and Siegfried didn't have a separate character slot dedicated to him. On SC1, they were separate.

As for Astaroth's design, his SC1 design is his most iconic. It's even shown up again in other games outside of SC1.

"SoulCalibur Pachislot" was terrible but at least had something good. I am talking about its main music theme which could serve as a intro for Soul Calibur VI, don't you think?

What do you think if Siegfried in his P1 costume would have helmet?

Helmets are bad, specially on main characters, because they limit your sight of the characters' face, I never liked them on Hilde, for example, but at least she was always shown with those. Siegfried is always presented to us with his golden hair shown, so it really sucks to have it limited for whatever reason.

The Paragon girl's hairline looks like the cheapest wig ever omg. Secure your lace girl.

No, it's sounds gay... Like J-Pop

Well, it will never get to the level of Soul Edge, that's for sure. That song was too good.

Probably using instrumental music would be the best thing they could do for the intro in case they are not going to use again Soul Edge. I mean something like this:

I just hope they will make a memorable intro... The intro for SC V was bad in comparison to the intros we had before.

The intro to SCV was a cutscene taken straight from Story Mode, no?
