Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny 3DS with Link as guest character?

Now that SC5 is looking unlikely again, Namco might at least consider making Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny 3DS. It'd basically be a port of the PSP game with Link instead of Kratos (complete with overhauled movelist) and maybe touched up graphics.

Given that it'd the GC version of SC2 sold the best, in part due to the popularity of Link, it might be worth Namco looking into -and it'd at least be much cheaper in development costs than SC5...

Link would have the Twilight Princess costume as his 1P outfit and OOT costume as his alt.
 
I had a feeling 3Ds will pwn because when you play Sophie, Ivy, Shura etc. it feels like your face is stuffed btwn pillow sacks ;)
 
Well it makes sense on paper at least. The team has all the art/animation/code assets etc., the main thing that would be needed is the hardware specific code, which could be reused for other games anyway, so development costs would be low.

Plus, the DS has sold the most units out of the current generation of consoles, and a lot of those people will prob buy a 3DS -that's a lot of potential sales. If they add Link, it'll appeal to Nintendo fans, and Nintendo will get a (sort of) exclusive AAA title.

If they do it, I just hope they flesh out Link's movelist with his moves from the more recent Zelda/Smash Bros games -his movelist felt very small compared to the main cast back in SC2.
