Story Mode, Additional SCV Images from Famitsu

Some people may have missed this, but along with today's announcement of the four newest characters to be added to the Soulcalibur V roster, Famitsu also released details and images from the game's story mode. Also included is the first images of Patroklos wielding Soul Calibur, Tira handing Pyrrha her mother's weapon, and images from various cutscenes.

If you can read Japanese or use Google Translate, you can go to Famitsu's website to read the details on Soulcalibur V's story mode.

Sophitia's sword is cursed, that thing is what makes pyrrha say crazy things...Like NO! As she stabs you to death....

Imagine that, some crazy chick drags you into an alleyway and starts stabbing you again and again saying, "It's not my fault! "It's not my fault!"

Am I to take it that Story Mode is one big story now, starring Pat, and each character doesn't have their own unique story? I hope that isn't the case, but it would seem that way.....

 

One thing to note, is CG cut scenes. So I expect a CG intro as well unlike SC4's intro.

 

Did you ever see Siegfried in Soul Edge before he turned into Nightmare? Not an ounce of evil in that guy's body.

Not agree, if there is one big story mode like in MK is gonna be way better than unique story modes for each character, is gonna explain way better the interaction between characters. I am a big fan of MK9 story mode and I think is by far the best one in any FG.

Fancy lighting does not a CG cutscene make. CG imagery looks quite a bit nicer than that.

It's all in game graphics, done up with lighting to look more cinematic. Which is cool, because that means customizations will probably take effect as was the case with endings in SCIV.

Not even remotely right. Sieg was a psychotic murderer even before he even got the sword. He planned the attacks on people returning from war.

He was a bandit, who went nuts when he killed his dad in the darkness of nght.

He killed a man in cold blood to get the sword later on(Sir Stefan, owner of the Grimblade).

I don't see where it says Tira handed Pyrrha Sophitia's sword covered in blood. It does, however, seem like Sophitia's sword has magic, and that it helps Pyrrha fight.

The google translation says that Pyrrha would have "a checkered fate that her mother followed." Maybe this means Pyrrha is another unwilling servant to Soul Edge, just like Sophitia was. Perhaps the two just switched places, and Sophitia's soul is now connected to the sword, and Pyrrha must protect it in order to keep her mother's soul alive. It would explain why Patrokolos says, "I'm sorry, Mother."

By mistake. Doesn't change the fact that he didn't feel any guilt about the other men killed in their raid, I suppose.

Sir Stefan was premediated murder, as he planned it out merely to get Stefan's sword- which he thought were Soul Edge(it was Grimblade).

 

To clear up any confusion, do you mean you dont want to know about any spoilers from now until release correct?

Important note :

Will SC4 nightmare and siegfried outfits be available considering they've animated sequences using those skins they might as well be available.

It would be hilariously evil if they had mid/low properties switching and some people getting the versions mixed up (ie siegfried's wrAA in SC5 is mid-mid)

I just think that Cervantes will have a transformation into dead Cervy with white eyes and purple skin again,could be fun,taking advantage of Special attacks, now ,why not a transformation in some characters? something that Bandai make a lot with their games

 

Poor Pyrrha.. She looks so helpless.

 

I just wonder what the story mode is going to be like for the "Created Fighters"? I'm hoping more interesting than SC4!
