Does any1 know a recent tier list for T6BR?

I dunno how many ppl play it here but I really can't find 1. Google search fails: I find really early ones for T6 and BR and one put Hei at SS and Steve at B or sumthing.

The threads on TZ are all discussions there probably is sum sort of a tier list there but I can't find it :(

All I know is Steve is top and Kuma, Zafina, Miguel are bottom.

thnx

yeah lily FTW ^^

but here ..from TZ..

new ranking posted on bbs ... not really sure who the ranking is from. probably just one person's opinion, again.

S - steve, lars, lili, bob, bryan
A - law, julia, eddy, bruce, nina, hei, lee, dj
B - ak, ganryu, king, jin, roger, asuka, ling, marduk, baek, paul, kaz, drag, wang, feng, jack, alisa, leo, hwo, lei, anna
C - yoshi, miguel, zaf, raven, bears

not really sure why there are so many S tier chars all of the sudden. if it were up to me, I'd drop lili, bob, bryan off S-tier. not too sure why lee dropped down so far in the ranks either [nina high?]

That's not an accurate list anymore. Lily's been bumped down. Lars has been bumped much lower.

Lars is probably the same standing as Hwoarang atm.

Current tops are Steve, Law, Bruce, Bob, and Bryan is arguably (arguably) top 5. Everyone else is pretty much on par. Then the bottom ones are supposedly Zaf, Yoshi, and Miguel. However, what's interesting is that in Tekken Crash (Korean BR Tourney), all bottom tier characters (Zaf, Miguel, Yoshi) qualified.

This is easily shaping up to be one of the most balanced Tekken's ever.

I thought most ppl though anna was higher then nina lol. I think im gonna main law and hei. Btw srry for bieng a noob whats the dash/ wavedash every1's talking about? Is it hard to do and do you need it? which characters have it? Does law and hei?

lol..and where do ya get that info??

From TZ. I've followed the tier list discussion since day 1. Tekken's also my main FG (I'm an '01 at TZ). Korea, Japan, and the boys at TZ all agree that Steve and Law are top, Bruce is stronger than he has ever been, Bob is no longer broken, but is still a top character, and Lars... while he's no longer top tier, he's still considered rock solid (ok, maybe better than Hwo, but not near Bryan's or Lili's level).

Lars' weakness is that he has almost no lows that you need to fear. Almost because his sweep KND's on CH. But it's slow and can easily be spotted, and it gets owned by a hopkick. He also doesn't have a magic 4 (e.g. Bryan's standing RK move - which floats on CH), that characters like Law and Bryan have. A lot of his moves which launch are also very vulnerable on block (depending on the character he's facing). Lars' saving grace is that if you mess up, he will punish you hard.

Also, there are 5 BR machines at the arcade 5 minutes from my house. I get to play everyday. :)

Wavedash: (look at the Mishima's, Jin, etc. - it's the up-and-down bobbing movement, you do it by inputting the shoryuken motion at high speed continuously.)

The hands:

Tekken 6 BR Finals at Devastation (Naps vs MDJ) - starts at 48:30. Before that is the SC4 Finals.

Further discussion:

(IIRC, these are Korea's tiers:)

Last one (from ChrisCP):
Here is a rough one. It's about three weeks old I think.
S - Steve
A - bob, lili, law/lars/julia, bruce/dj/bryan, eddy/lee, nina
B - ak, asuka, ganryu, hei, ling, baek, hwo, alisa, jack, feng, roger, paul, king, christie, jin
C - marduk, kaz, anna, leo, wang, lei, drag, miguel
D - raven, bears, zaf, yoshi

Most Recent (from ChrisCP):
A) Law, Bruce, Nina, Steve, Baek, Granny Roger
B) Mig, Bryan, Leo, Anna, Jin, Jack, Bob, DJ, Paul, Kaz, Lili, King, Drag, AK, Hwo, Capos
C) Lee, Wang, Julia, Lars, Feng, Hei, Bears, 'Duk, Lei, Alisa, Xaio
D) Asuka, Yoshi, Zaf
X) Raven, Moku.

IMHO, that latest list is closer to what I've been seeing in real play in Asia. Lars lower than Hwo is probably due to Korea's strong Hwo's.

Compared to Arcadia's (Japan) last ones:
Rank 1 – Steve Fox
Rank 2 – Marshall Law, Bob, Lili
Rank 5 – Lars Alexandersson
Rank 6 – Bruce Irvin, Julia Chang
Rank 8 – Devil Jin
Rank 9 – Eddy Gordo/Christie Monteiro, Bryan Fury

Korea has a very pitbull style though, whereas Japan has a spacing game, and US leans more towards spacing/counters. If you ask me, the latest Korean list is pretty accurate, but IIRC a Lee player is currently the top player in Korea, and both Yoshi and Zaf players qualified in Tekken Crash.

Basically: in BR, the tiers mean very little now.

Why is my man yoshi so low? From what I have seen he looks beast. Someone asnwer my question!!!!:(

*Points at post*

As I said, stop worrying about the tiers. Yoshi qualified (IIRC, in two different teams) for Tekken Crash in Korea. Japan doesn't like Yoshi's style, that's why the first set of tiers had him ranked low, but he's obviously competitive in Korea.

@spongebob: Nope. He doesn't need it though. He has a magic 4 and a fast uppercut, both lead to a bound combo. The guy is a pitbull machine.

@tiggerkiddo: No, he was part of the top tier, but Bob was broke in T6 vanilla. Bob was God frankly. They nerfed Bob in BR, and because of the damage scaling/adjustments, Kaz has to work a little harder for a win now, because his moves don't do nearly as much damage. He's still a very very solid character though. d/b+4 is one of the best (if not the best) non-sweep low moves in the game.

@Rekano: Yessir it was. Even the people on SRK are hyped. Everyone is telling stories about their LE pre-order experiences at Gamestop.

Steve being top isn't suprising, considering he's been top for several games now and doesn't seem to get toned down as often as he should. He's simply too safe.

Granted, I suspect BR's upper characters don't have the same kind of dominance against the lower tiered ones as they used to.

This.

Steve's definitely the most solid of all, but he's not broke. Otherwise we wouldn't be seeing Lee's, Bryan's, and Bob's taking the titles in BR tourneys.

Personally, I think one of most promising aspects of BR's tourney results is the fact that most of the winners are people who won with either their mains or their seconds, and not just because of the characters. Naps beat MDJ, sure, but the whole story was that MDJ was completely dominating from the start, using a "weak" character like Hwo, and Naps had to come back from the loser's bracket. Naps main is Bryan, so it's not surprising to see him that tight with the man.

Rewind a bit, and there's Help Me! A Korean Lee/Bob player. He won a recent Korean tourney with his main, Lee. He played Lee at the (iirc) NorCal tourney against a couple of people, and he beat Naps' Bryan with him. Come grand final, he plays Chet's Paul, and switches to Bob, his second.

Here's the grand final match (Help Me!'s Bob vs Chet's Paul):

Great match.

If you want to see Help Me!'s Lee (a "mid-tier" character) take down Naps' beastly Bryan, here you go:

Rip by SRK's Saotome.

I'm surprised Devil Jin is only A tier at best. He's got Hellsweeps, EOD, EWGF, wavedash, and so much more i thought he'd be S tier for sure
