sooo can any1 tell me what 1.01 did? Im guessin it wasnt there when the game was first released? Was it when they opened up the online? When i first saw it this morning i thought theyd fixed the online or summet lol

I haven't tried out T6 Law for myself, but I have a few ideas off the top of my head.

If you're picking up Law, make sure to learn DSS (Dragon Stance Shift...I think). I think regular Dragon Stance (DS) is entered doing d1+2. So basically you can buffer DS off your moves. The really weird thing is you don't buffer it by doing d1+2, but by b,f. So a starter is b234 (buffer b,f,b,f during the animation), DS 3. So it'll look like b234 into DS 3. I do the buffering fast so I make sure I get the transition, but I think you only need to time it near the end of the b234 animation. I think for execution-ease sake it's b,f,b,f for buffering after kick moves and b,f after punch moves so punch moves are a little easier to buffer.

Also, try using his FC d, df, d, [df] 3 for a really quick low and do wakeup kick 3 afterward for additional dmg. I'm guessing his bound is now f1+2 so maybe afterwards a simple option is ff213.

Use his ff3+4 double break throw and it can combo afterwards. Sorry, I'm not too familiar with him, and some may be iffy since I only know this from T5DR but those are some basics to start off with.

It's standard issue Hori + wireless. Good, reliable, typical Hori, but nothing to shout about.

Old T5 standard Hori, or EX2 360 style Hori? World of difference between the two, the standard Hori sticks from this console generation across the board break down within a month or so. The T5 stick wasn't top of the line, but it at least lasted me a while.

Online couldn't possibly be WORSE than DRO, could it? I mean, I know Namco doesn't really give a shit about online, but still.........

I don't think the online is worse than DR. It's a sensitive question since I've also experienced matches where the lag was so bad similar to the worst of DR. The last hit of Kaz's u/f+4444 became unblockable from an opponent who just literally spammed it. But then I had a series of consecutive matches that appeared to be flawless. I think it'll take a while to figure out a definite answer for everyone, but with different connections + locations worldwide that'll take some time. Bear in mind I have not installed the game to my harddrive yet due to wanting to test the loading times. It is long without installing, but not unbearably for me. I'll see how it goes after a few more days of uninstalled playing.

ugh, timing the juggles can be really annoying.

sometimes, in mid juggle the move whiffs completely. T_T

You'll get used to the timing soon enough if you're in this for the long haul Panda.

Also, is the Online really as bad as people say? I won't be able to see until Friday, so all i've been doing is practicing with Devil Jin so far. It seems his most damaging combo is:

EWGF, EWGF, ff+3, 1, ff, 2, d/f+1+2, B! ff+3, 1, ff, 2, run, DEWGF.

From my recent experiences with online play, to me, it's worse than DRO. I play DRO from time to time with a few regulars, all of whom have a great connection with me. Once we started playing this, we all pretty much agreed that the online play is worse than DRO. At least with DRO, you didn't see the framerate slow down so much, just the input lag. Here, you get input lag and you get sporadic framerate jitter.

Megiddo, how much does that combo do? I feel DJ's staple combos are harder now. DR's was really easy. Doin' a dash EWGF after ff3,1ff is too difficult for a bum like me. Also I didn't know his d/f1+2 bound puts him in crouch. That little pause afterwards throws me off cause I thought his combos would be easy as cake when I watched videos lol.

Whats this worthless $5 DLC?

can sum1 tell me how to do those 3 kicks with law on a bound person?

Say i did sumthing like

WRB K8X 4BB (in the command this it shows three kicks after this what are they?) Im pretty sure its not OXO cause that never connects? I cant find it in the move list any1 help?

Also If i have both a 1p costume and a 2p costume for law how do i select which one i wana use? I have one for stats (1p) and one for looks (2p) but it always selects 2p.

Edit: Oh yah also can any1 explain how strings work? I see a guy do a powerful string on me which does like 1/3 health and i cant seem to block any of it if first hit hits. Then i do a string and it gets blocked.

I do a 10 hit string in traning and it shows all 10 hits are a combo but when playing sum1 not all the hits combo togetehr and they block it midway. Any1 explain this? thnx

10 hits are never guarnteed, usually if you get hit you blocked wrong at some point or tried to attack them during it when they weren't open. Usually you can sidestep them at certain points and unleash all hell on the scrub throwing out a goddamn 10 hit. some begining parts of 10 hits are NC and NCC (Yoshi's 121, first part of his 10hit is NC)

I hear online, people that can. Are spamming out 10 hit strings mindlessly and as bad as the online is right now, no doubt in my mind you can probably get away with it.

Also why is the text so god damn small? I have gr8 eyesight but my TV aint massive, i had no idea what the ping means and the parts of the story like alisa's journal where annoyin as heck to read. Also the men u text and command list seemed really teeny. Is there a way to change?
that command list is ridiculous, the colors actually mesh into other button locations so it looks like 2 or 3 different buttons are lit up when only one is. My eyes are excellent too and I play on a 36 inch, shit's still stupid. u have to guess a lot of the time. Yet another thing I don't like about Tekken (step sucks, you have to put practice into juggling, list goes on).

Yh juggling is annoying. I have no idea wtf half the combo's posted up on tz its all fn~321 crazy stuff lolz. It was so much easier understanding SCIV D:

Im playin law atm can any1 reccommend an easy but still gud character to play? With very easy juggles, i can do slide inputs and presson buttons at the same time thanks to bind but when you need to do things such as dash - attack or whatever i always miss. Also how in the world do you do DSS? Lets say i did 3B B B and then back forwards and press B i just end up with a normal B.

spongebob, yea Tekken basics take some time to get used to. A lot of the basics is confusing because what is written is not necessarily the most intuitive or easiest way to execute it. It takes trial and experimentation to find the best notation for you. But I'll share mine to get you started.

Dashing jabs are ff+1 (Tekken notation) or 66A. However, the trick is you need to actually execute it as ffn1 or 665A. The neutral is crucial to get a longer dash with the jab. Think of the rhythm as ta-tap, very short pause, A. Every character has this ability, but they each have their own timing so it'll take a little getting used to. But I think if you master King's dashing jabs, everyone else's is easy. Actually here's my own way of breaking it down from hardest to easiest execution-wise: iSW (King's fff2+4 throw) > King's dashing jabs > everyone else's jabs. If you can get iSW, you can do the dashing jabs of anyone easily. I learned how to do dashing jabs with Kazuya since in DR some of his combos involved dashing jabs into EWGF.

For Law, try AB (buffer 46 --> time the 6 near the end of the animation as is general to DS buffers), B. This should be a simple way to see how a DS buffer works. Haha translating Tekken notation to SC notation is funny.

I think Tekken notation is pretty straightforward. F is forward, B is back, ,df is Down/Forward. 1/2 is LP/RP.

Still holding out on the game. Gotta watch someone play it first.
