T6BR tier list

I preordered a week ago at shopto.net its the cheapest offer so far only £30.

I was just watching those vids cowboy. They weren't that bad but dunno why they had the health so low and they were probably playing more for fun seeing as they missed a load of combos and stuff lol.

Also just wondering in the tekken gosu vids do they have the hp set to 120%? In the game when you play online can you set how much hp you want and stuff?

Korean's play at 120% all the time. Japs and the US play at 100%. Not sure about setting the hp online - my guess would be as good as yours, although I would assume it has to be the same for both players.

wow Cowboy u know a lot about this game!! =D

hey i was wondering how u would rank Asuka and alisa, since those are prolly gonna be my main styles. i saw some videos and alisa looked really fun to play, and looked like she had a really nice spacing game. And asuka looks like she has some fairly good combos and nice grab transitions... but ppl say that she is low tier.

lol any advice would be good, i just wanna know how well those charqacters rank to a beginner's view point. >3 thanks

To me, Alisa has below average pokes.

One of the top 3 teams at the recent SBO (super battle opera - a big tourney at Japan) had an Alisa player. IIRC, that Alisa player beat Japan's top Lars player.

That, to me, says a lot about her.

Also, sorry to say, but Alisa has GOOD pokes.

It was just my opinion. My brother plays her and it seems she's just an average character when it comes down to a poking game.

But nonetheless, the game is very well balanced so there should be no griping.

On the surface, yeah, her pokes seem plain. Then when you check the frames it turns out she's bank vault safe. She has an iWR move (iWR2) which nets you +frames on block, setting up for anything: db3, df2(launch), f44, 32 (pulls out the saws), f321, b43, etc. (everything I mentioned save for db3 is safe, and db3 is only -11, so at most, all they get is a WS4).

However, Alisa only has a few moves which track, so she's susceptible to being stepped - which of course, balances her out (everyone should have a weakness, right?).

I prefer playing as Alisa over Asuka though - she just feels more interesting.

Yeah, since I have no training with Alisa, I look at her poking game at a surface level as you said.

Omg Zafina behind the Bears?
I figured it'd happen though.

Yeah, but the interesting thing is everyone (literally. Save for Mokujin I think) has shown up at tourneys. From A+ characters to Zaf. Not one missing character. That's damn impressive for 37+ unique characters.

True, I have been lurking in the TZ forums for like 2 weeks now and there is a completely different tone over there. The amount of complaining is pretty much nonexistant compared to over here.

Yeah but the amount of hate and infighting in more than a few of their communities is 10 times anything that Calibur has ever seen. I'm not sure anyone has actually ever come to blows over a game of Calibur, wheras I can list several times it's happened in Tekken just with the NY crew alone.

But I agree, the amount of crying on forums about specific gameplay elements is less than what we deal with. They just direct it at each other, instead of the game.

Any reason why Korea has different rules? I've never heard of a community changing the life settings like that. Obviously Japan runs single elim as opposed to our double elim, but the rules in game were always the same.

I wouldn't know to be honest. When I found out, nobody asked, and it seemed like it was assumed that "it was just always like that". Although everyone did notice that it affected the general gameplay in the sense that the Korean's have a lot more "show" in their game (more life == more room for error), whereas the Japs have a very safe style of play (less life == less room for error). IIRC, WCMaxi himself pointed it out as well.

lol i swear they lock virtually all new threads there xD - inb4kane or w/e ppl love to post.

Even if it doesn't serve a huge purpose or maybe has been asked b4 i still dnt see reason to lock it. I made a new thread there once asking about lagtactics online i think and it got locked b4 a reply xD

Sponge: I think they just want to keep that kind of crap off the community.

Anyhow...

Fifteen Days. God the hype is killing me.

Yh i guess but i dnt really see why a question thread or w/e shud be locked when theres more to discuss.

ENyways I'm kinda annoyed UK gets it on the 30th. At first i thought it was releasing at the same time as US or sumthing lol so i could play it all half term. Since i've ordered it online im guessin i'll get it just as half term ends :(

Yh i guess but i dnt really see why a question thread or w/e shud be locked when theres more to discuss.

Actually... there isn't. All the thread would do is open up speculation about something that doesn't exist yet. I would be very surprised if T6's netcode would even be good enough to warrant the need for lag switches. In DRO, when you connected, you got lag. Case closed.

If the T6 netcode is any good, and people start doing lag switch shenanigans, then a thread about it will happen because 1) it's no longer speculation, and 2) as you said, it needs to be addressed.

Anyhow...

Less than two weeks before "Godzilla" drops, and my HRAP3-SA just arrived. Life is good. :sc4set2:

Tekken was good for 3 installments and Tag Tournament. After that it's all been downhill. Tekken 6 and its update(Bloodline Rebellion) are the worst Tekkens ever to date.:P

That's your ever so biased opinion. Critics are declaring this Tekken the best of them all, and I couldn't agree more. What are you basing your opinion off of? Watching videos on the internet? Go play this at an arcade or hell; wait the 10 days for the games release and form a more fair opinion then.
