my first impression is that talim is somewhat weaker than the rest of the cast. I'm sure this will change when the game evolves

Well, I think so. The different between SC2 and SC6 is that now we can't block forever. That mean a character with fast move and poke but low damage like Talim can't trade blow with slower but stronger character. They know they can take several hits to get a big one and they know Talim player can't turtle forever. With lack of damage, range and her weak punishment moves, Talim need more efforts to win.

One more thing I notice in SC6 each character has their own special ability such as:

- Zasalamel has freeze time orb
- Nighmare has charged move
- Geralt and Yoshimitsu has meter cost move
- Maxi has his infinite nunchanku swing
- Siefried has special move when he's 30% hit point

And so on

What is Talim special move: If only some Gale auto dodge Horizon or Vertical from SC2 I think it's not enough

It's been reported she has life regen, we saw it on her CE but she might have it on other moves as well.

Disagree. I actually think the guard burst system helps her a TON. Assuming, of course, her moves break guard well in SC6. Turtling is something Talim always struggled with because, as you said, her range + damage was lacking.

Well the guard burst system help everyone to break the turtling but assuming she is still the same character as SC2, I don't think she has strong moves to damage the guard gauge.

I wonder is 4BB hold still exist ? If yes does it give advantage enough for a 3B like in SC2 ?

I think we should wait until someone figure out her new "Air Rage" stance. According to what i read, “Air Rage” stance which can be used offensively or defensively, so maybe it's her new special ability in SC6

I'm assuming you haven't played her in SC3 or SC4. (but correct me if I'm wrong).

She seems to play mostly like SC4 Talim with upgrades and reworked stances. Her guard gauge game in SC4 was actually not bad. Not top 5 in game, but she had good safe ways of breaking you with her 6B, 44B and 6A+B for example.

Actually I play from Soul Edge to Soul 5, my main in SC2 is Talim, it's also the only version I think Talim is a good char. From Soul 3 to Soul 4, she's suck so bad T_T that I can't even remember her movelist in those version.

If she's still like Soul 4 version which I still remember, correct me if I'm wrong that some moves let's he into Stand that we have to choose either dodge vertical or horizon and can't block. At least in SC2 we can control it, if it's still there I think I will drop her again ><

We haven't seen 4BB hold, but I would assume it's still in. Since 4BB itself is still in.

Her Stances don't force you to auto-jump this time, if that's what you mean. You can just side spin and block without being forced to jump.

OK, at least I can count on this. But what about if I dont want to spin just finish my move and block is that still ok ?

Yeah. You could always just choose to not go into stances at all. The only automatic thing in SC4 was, once you were in a stance, you couldn't exit that stance without being forced to jump or hit a button,

Hello all, long time no see,

Tbh, the most important change that I saw is the guard from stance. Having the option to retreat and reset makes her less prone to punishments, obviously.

Good to see familiar names in the chat. Looking forward to working with you guys again.

6AB is a much better anti-duck tool to pair with 6AA than 6AK.

We don't know if you can block after WL. WL goes in AR (Air Rage) stance which can be cancelled into other stances. But no confirmation if she can just hop backward and block.

6AA knock down/ROs on 2nd hit now. 6AB appears to be plus or neutral on block.

Oh, I thought that animation was just some buff of sorts, not another stance. Still a nice thing, you can probably now buffer WL into another WL instead of it being read as WL B, I'll take it.

6AB being + on block is always good, but with this pushback it might be hard to keep up the pressure with AA6BA... So much to research :)
