Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Unlimited

yep .. because the netcode is so good, the "high ranked" players in t6 are almost nowhere to be found ... because like you said, they were just online [lag] warriors.

snake edge 'spam' probably won't disappear ... but the ability to block it on reaction online is now there.

dr tom: practice practice practice! ;P
Kane, what's your add again? I've been grinding on this game- Spman been whoopin' my ass. Anyways, I'll try and make some SoCal events in the future. Need Tekken more Tekken vets as friends so I can be a cool kid.

Leo has some pretty sick- long combos from what I've seen. I'm actually interested in her, as well.

All my pals are playing/going to be playing this so I might have to hop on the Tekken train myself.

Will decide later today...but for now I sleep!

I guess I must have forgotten.

I dunno if I'd recommend him for an absolute beginner, but Bruce's 3, 2~f~1 wall carry, d+3+4 wall bound, and db+214 wall ender is pretty easy to do compared to how effective it is.

Combined with a tag-bufferable launcher... Sheesh...

Bruce definitely isn't for beginners. I tried him as my first character in T6 when players told me he was. DP-styled crouch dash, chain throws, and rather difficult combos. If I remember correctly, he was one really interesting long combo that requires doing CD+1 three or four times to carry the opponent across stage, then finishing off with some other combo. Can't quite remember the details, but I saw it in a video once.

Of course, that was back in Tekken 6. Not sure how he is now, but given his huge move list (three or four different sidestep moves, on top of all the above mentioned), he'd probably overwhelm a lot of players just starting out.

The nice thing is - at least in Tekken 6 - is that he had a lot of really nice kick strings that could be used as max range that would make him difficult to punish. Plus there was a lot of power behind most of his moves that you could win a few matches just dialing through attack strings. I guess in that sense, he could be somewhat beginner friendly, but the mileage may vary.

You know, I think a lot of Lili's flips and acrobatics are pretty unsafe on block, but I did see a lot of people use them often when fighting Lili's. Can't say if they were truly good or not, but... I'm not sure I would recommend spamming them like you did there. Reminds me of playing Tekken 3 and seeing Eddy players mashing down and both kicks all the time. Never could beat them...

A combo Nyawu (I think it was Nyawu) taught me for Lili was d/f 3+4, > d+2, > WS 2, > 2,1 > f+1+2, and then one of her forward flips... forget which one, but you were doing it in that video. It did like 70-ish damage I think. It's actually pretty easy to do.

I should have really raped that guy, he just spammed that low kick and knee launch lol.

You think playing solo is OP?

Also Lili's bum grab attack is still in this game, screw the guy that said it wasn't >:D

hey man, my psn is "emily_rochefort"

which chars are you learning? ... I'm guessing leo and ... ?

leo is a great character. great punishers, great combos, very solid. tekken's gameplay has a lot to do with spacing, punishing and combos ... just pretend every char in the game is alpha patroklos ;P

~~

windstar - yeah, a lot of lili's moves are pretty unsafe and a lot of her "mixups" can be easily avoided by just sidestepping. she's actually not a very good character if you know how to play against her.

sett - I think solo is op for the average player ... but high level, I think they will have trouble winning consistently

I've always liked to make combo videos ... I've made multiple combo videos for each tekken starting from tekken 3. for those who might've seen my pyrrha / alpha patroklos combo vids ... I've also started to make some for ttt2... for anyone interested, here's my latest: [I did not choose the name of the video...]

Got this game on 360, it's addicting and fun as hell. Kazuya is a staple for me, but I'm unsure of who to pair him with/learn next. I'm thinking either Asuka, Jun, Heihachi, Devil Jin, Jinpachi, or the Laws.

I'm thinkin' bout using Leo... but for now, I'm Drag/Marduk. I'll add you later today.

Anyone know who works well with Lili? I was gearing towards Angel but now I'm not so sure.
Angel is pretty good with her, but some other examples would be Asuka, Alisa, Leo, Jin, Lars (I believe), and Sebastian to name a few. I personally use Lili and Kunimitsu, though.

Can you handle a Mishima?

On that note, I'd like some Angel combos (but only ones she can do by herself; I still don't have the competency to pull off Tag Assaults well).

Lol?

- He has a hopkick and a natural launching d/f+2
- He punishes really hard
- Bruce doesn't require you to do any of his chain throws. He is perfectly fine of wrecking your shit without them.
- Bruce combos are relatively easy. Like, I've never heard someone say, "yo man I really can't nail this Bruce combo because the timing is so strict!" Doing 3,2~f three times is NOTHING compared to Mishimas, Steve, Lee, or Nina bnbs.
- b,f+4 is a safe launcher into ridonkulous damage and b+2 is a safe counter hit launcher into ridonkulous damage.
- Like 70% of his moveset is elbows/knees so you never really to worry about getting reversaled and trying to buffer a chicken.
- He has a crouch dash sure, but he can't do it continously, so you don't have to labor in training mode to perfect anything with it.

I'm trying to get some of my friends to play, and one of my friends who likes Baek/Dragonuv/Lili wasn't really doing much when we played. Then we played a few matches where he picked Bruce and was doing pretty decent.

I told him he should stick with Bruce after we were done. He asked me why. I told him simply: "Because Bruce does everything".

If i had the game my mains would be steve fox and yoshi :D (yoshi is main in 4 and 5) how is yoshi in this game anyway?
