Oh wow I just thought of something this is classic part 1... maybe siegfrieds and nightmares 1p from SCIV will be part 2 and then skeleton 2 (the cervantes skeleton from Legendary Souls) and probably that roman armor that was somewhere in future dlc
High probability, but chances are slim (even though those armors or whatever are on-disk anyway...)

Assuming of course that this isn't meant to be. Here's the skinny:

They HAVE to test the items to make sure they actually work in-game, to make certain the meshes and models all work with the character models.

If 'X' doesn't work with 'Y', then it's reasonable to believe it was never supposed to, sure some of those clashes are just outright stupid, but it's highly likely that, for whatever reason, they're there on purpose. Assuming they didn't test the product before releasing it is illogical.

Then I was insinuating they're making an inferior product.

The point is that there are way too many equipment conflicts, period. Some make perfect sense but most of them are really... just a little much.

Then that's all good. I agree though, way too many silly clips. Notably, the Valk Cuirass, which hates everything, works with Jun's Scarf. What the?

If either side were 100% true, we wouldn't have run into the incompatibility a few packs back that eventually ended up becoming compatible again.

No, that just means they missed something. Life isn't so black and white.

I thought it became obvious that a lot of these compatibility issues were glitch/polish issues when we had the Viola Hood compatability issue with skirts and masks that (if not changed) would cause some graphical errors in certain cases but was then completely fixed and made available again in the following compatibility pack.

Because everyone is always perfect at their job every time right?

It's up on PSN now, by the way! :D

Update:
Yes, the scarf-cape clashes with the off-the-shoulder dress. :/ Let's see what else...

It works with the Wedding Dress and Soothsayer's dress, oddly enough. Doesn't look amazing with them, though.

Do not take my wording the wrong way, I am in agreement with you. I just am curious why this is up for debate, being insignificant as it is. People have more reason to complain about the content-price ratio then the actual compatability errors.

Thank you Kitten; cannot wait to see what you do with it.

Fair enough. I misunderstood then. I'd be happy if everything was compatible with everything.

That's part of the issue. Why should you pay for something when you can't even use it the way you want?

When given the choice between having graphical issues that may potentially "break" the game and have the error in coding be blocked off for protection, Forgon chooses the latter.

Also, my statement was hyperbole. This is Capitalism, if you dislike the content for the price, do not purchase it.

Edit:

I would too, but I would rather voice that to the developers for future reference and worry more about having said issues be resolved eventually (this is within the parameters of a scenario where a sequel is under consideration by PS) than allow my game to look broken and unpolished.

Jun's Cape/Scarf works with:

Soothsayer's Dress
Bridal Gown
Chinese Dress
Glossy Top
Dancer's Top
Merveilleuse Dress
Cowgirl Vest
Valkyrie Cuirass
Bong-Seon Coat
Jun's Top (duh)
Police Miniskirt

No upper body coverings.

I figured I'd put that together since that's probably THE item most of us were getting the Tekken pack for.

Side Note: I own NONE of the active-wear tops. Sooo not testing those.

That's one thing I've been thinking about for a while. Just exactly how badly would it break the game if they decided to disable all incompatibilities tomorrow? What exactly are they "protecting" us or themselves from? I don't make games, so I can't say what the worst case scenario would be with any reasonably grounded basis. Thus, PS gets to call the shots on incompatibilities, which they don't have to disclose. I guess that's what really irks me and anyone else here who thinks the way I do.

I'm still going to buy DLC, though. Hah, what a hypocrite, right?

On a related note, does anyone know of any items whose incompatibilities, all or part, were lifted in compatibility packs that came after they were released? I've heard about things like that happening, so maybe PS knows we're unhappy about incompatibilities and might be changing them as time goes on. If that is the case, it might show people that maybe it's not such a bad idea to buy DLC with a lot of incompatibilities.

Yeah, I guess, there's a lot to go for, anyways, here's an updated image of what's left over...

Anyone find it strange that the scarf only works mostly with items we had to buy?
