The Protest for ME3's rewrite begins!

If you, like myself and like ten million others, were unsatisfied with the ending of Mass Effect 3, I say we speak! The Official 8WayRun ME3 Ending Rewrite Petition thread is here!
Lastly, could all of you spread this link around as much as you can. This could bring about a real change, as BioWare is the only company that I believe can actually do something at such a scale.

Live with it. I mean, really, who asks for a fucking rewrite? Just say the story is shit and move on.

The ME fans as a whole deserve something better than the halfhearted bullshit they gave us. That should be the ending if you have lost enough of your squad and you have a small amount of Galactic Forces. We, as a fanbase, need closure.

Pffffft haha, this is the epitome of first world problems.

These kids are mad they can't fly off with their space waifu and live happily ever after.

Kids, it's called Dark Fantasy for a reason- because it's dark. Deal with it.

Actually - I fully support a rewrite of ME's ending. Not because it was dark, but because it was fucking bad.

They ended a trilogy in a way you just can't end a trilogy - especially when their fans have spent 6 years with the series, making choices that they said would Matter and in the end - they didn't. I don't care what happens to my squad, I don't care what happens to Shepard based on the choices I've made. I just want to know. Where the current ending provides you with one of 3 sequences, followed by absolutely no epilogue as per normal bioware ending, absolutely no information as to what happened, and a really vague ending cinematic that doesn't make logical sense.

And, of course, the after credit cinematic which is simply a desktop background that BioWare ripped off of google without paying the artist, and put a couple filters on it with a bit of voiceover work. Not to mention they did this twice in the same game (Tali's face? Yep, random 10 minute photoshop of a google stock image.)

The photographer has said they didn't even give any credit. Pretty classy, BioWare.

I don't care how dark it is, my entire squad could die and Shepard too, but the ending was just half-assed. They give you three options that have two cinematics after, then the credits role. BioWare is becoming like every other company that's sacrificing their single player for the multiplayer. That's where I'm placing the blame. It seems like they did everything but the last sequence, made the multiplayer, and then went back were like "Meh, we're tired after making a multiplayer mode. Who wants to write this ending on a napkin and have no dialogue except for some from random people on an unknown planet."
Thanks BioWare...

Logically, this isn't what happened. Because of how Bioware's team works, the team writing the script would have had absolutely no involvement with the multiplayer.

To be honest, the only reason I think BioWare gets the praise it gets for being the highest quality writing in the gaming industry right now, is simply because they do one thing:

They hire writers.

They hire an entire team of writers, and have them work seperately on different missions of the game, then put them back together, and they keep each other in check to make sure things make sense as far as progression of story goes. The writing team doesn't really spend time working on mechanics, let alone netcode and multiplayer.

The problem the ending to ME3 had, more likely, was the writers all decided on an open to interpretation/artsy kind of ending. They not only fell short of achieving this type of ending well, but this type of ending also just doesn't work to conclude a trilogy. Note: Pretty much all great trilogies end with an epilogue and some sort of followup (IE: Star Wars' original trilogy). And generally, when stuff like this is ended in the way that BioWare tried, IE: The open to interpretation/new hope kind of artsy ending, the series gets put on blast (IE: The matrix trilogy).

As a game mass effect 3 was hands down a quality experience but as a conclusion there needs to be some work done to it. That ending was half assed to the fullest and I can understand why everyone is upset and dont get me started on the logic with some of the endings because then your left tilting your head. Overall Bioware got to fix it or at least do something and if they dont all you can be left with is disappointment.

I'd much rather Bioware work on making good games again (Not saying this one isn't) and making amends for the TOR shitfest then retconning story crap.
