The Ranked Junkies Thread

I haven't been playing too much ranked now after I had to reset my SCV data, so I'm still derping around with my C rank. Ranked was fun awhile ago but now the majority of times I win, the loser disconnects, next match, disconnects, and it makes me extremely frustrated. Been playing GC a lot more and enjoying it over ranked :[
 
I want to say I am a rank junkie but lately its been tough to get online .__. but I have been a C rank for a while (C1 recently ^__^) and I have learned a great deal from ranked fighting. I try to not underestimate my opponent but I do tend to go lenient on the lower ranks because I use the characters I'm practicing with (Maxi, aPat) I think of Ranked as training mode unless I fight some of you fabuloooous folks

Damn. If Dustbuster is the best ranked Maxi then maybe I should play ranked more. Unless he improved greatly. I like my B4 for shit talking purposes though which is why I avoid it.
 
^ IRM called her throw "Cooch sit". I've always called it "muffocation". You know, suffocation by muff.
 
Funny thing about Fenris Zero... while he is a great player, I found a big weakness in his game that he has, and what's funny is that I didn't realize it from playing him, because I would never have thought that a player like him would have such a weakness. I found it by looking at his stats.

The other night I registered him as a "rival" in the game, and looked at his gameplay stats. And what I found was that while this guy has very high stats in almost every gameplay category, it showed that he has only ever done just 12 Just Guards. Twelve.

Basically JG is non existent in his game. On top of that, he only had just over 400 Guard Impacts, which I consider far below average considering how much he's played. Most dedicated top players who effectively use GI should be in the quadruple digits by now (same goes for JG). And based on my experience playing this guy, he likes to use GI as a re-GI, so I have a feeling that he only uses it for re-GI purposes.

After I found these interesting little statistics about him he became much easier to fight. However, he's still no pushover as he has amazing rushdown abilities as well as spacing.

Hopefully he reads this or realizes his weakness so he can correct it and make himself even more of a beast.

Also I don't get why people call him a troll or a dick though? He's seemed cool in my book. Has he done things to piss people off?

You really should play ranked man. And yeah Dusty has really leveled up a lot these past months.

As for not playing because you want to keep your B4, you actually can play and still keep it. What you need to do is copy your game save to another device such as a USB or cloud storage, and then play ranked and allow yourself to get to A1. And then if you ever want to troll with a B4, simply load that save, hop on ranked, and your A1 will get replaced by the B4. The ranks are stored in the save files, so whenever you use a save file online, it will override whatever rank was previously saved on the ranked servers.

I ran into Chaoticity in GC a while ago (we ended up playing five games in a row vs. each other, my Rugi vs. his Asta, and the games were super close, so I friended him), and I can speak from experience that his Nightmare is crazy good. I don't think he plays too much any more but he's an awesome guy and a fantastic player.

I'll message him next time I'm on XBL and see what he's up to, he may have moved on to another game, which would make me super sad :/

I'm sure he does. I'm sure that he can step certain moves consistently offline while he has trouble, like we all do, doing it online (EX: Pyrra's 66B BE, Voldo's 66B BE, Ezio's WR BB, aPat's FC 3B:B, among others). I'm also sure that those 12 JGs were all accidents with a faulty xbox controller.

Honestly, I don't find JG'ing or tight stepping to be that difficult online, especially at the 4+ bars that rank always connects me to. It's not like this is SCIV netcode...
 
I'm sure he's just a lazy Dick and could learn to JG if he really wanted to but with Halo4 and TTT2 I doubt he will try.

EDIT: What do you mean "Rushdown?" I'm sure people have been throwing that around him. Also stop stalking him. I'm sure he finds it weird that someone likes him and he is upset that your views about him are not negative. I'm sure he's Batman.

He doesn't main Viola, so I have no reason to view him negatively. Viola = no respect. Kinda like SCIV Amy.

You just laid a steamer in my Cheerios. Really though, I've been chilling out on Viola. Too many random orb occurrences and dud BE's at clutch moments. She started to piss me off as a user.
 
I guess I can give a couple of shout outs to somewhat regular ranked opponents:

-Filmoa/Eggmaster. Doesn't reside on 8 way run I don't think but on the French forum equivalent but is probably the best player I've faced in ranked with an over 90% w/l. Was recently gracious enough to let me have a set against him, playing against better players definitely makes you a lot better.

-Daess. Another French guy with 90+% w/l. If I didn't know better, I could swear this was Keev's second account, plays a disgusting Nightmare. I've heard they practice together a bit, wouldn't surprise me at all, godlike spacing.

-AndyrooxDS. Not seen on ranked as much any more but we've had quite a few good games back when he used to jump on there. Seems to play player matches most of the time, he's fought off the addiction.......I haven't.

-Akito The Exile. Has a w/l of around 70% but the guy's a monster. I'm sure if he started again today it would be over 80% minimum. He's also one of the few people who helped me out when I was trying(still am) to get away from scrub status and still gives me tips up to this day. The best thing about him is that I don't even ask, he just gives out his wisdom and whether I listen or not is my business.

Onto the Douche-bags..........

-RedSergX or SergRedX or something. The biggest no lifer I ever see in ranked. Rage quits constantly to preserve his 100% w/l, not sure how much he goes onto ranked any more but he used to be on there quite a bit.

-WvRAIKOUvW. Holds his 90% w/l by rage quitting. The dumbest thing is that he's actually a decent player. not sure why he quits anyway. Also he may have the laggiest connection for someone so close I've ever played on. I mean, are you even using broadband or is it a mouse running on a wheel?

There are more but I can't think of them atm, Europe has been dead recently. Players don't really pop into my mind too well when I have to wait through like 5-10 matches for a decent challenge.

Thinking back on it, your list is full of Assholes.
 
I hate ranket, people tends to ragequit a lot and they mainly only use mitsurugi or siegfried (nothing against them but it becomes boring)

cultivatemass (PSN) just ragequitted on me a few hours ago because I was clearly destroying his mitsurugi, then he sent me ragemail telling me I was only "stun-spamming" and that I was pathethic and blahblah, it's the first time i read something like "stun-spamming" lol
