Hey guys, with Soul Calibur V's imminent arrival I thought it would be nice to throw my characters here for your scrutinization.
Firstly, if you want Final Fantasy characters, superhero characters, TV show characters and the like then you're in for a disappointment since I don't have any. Personally I find that such characters were designed with a very specific aesthetic in mind and trying to replicate that in SCIV is a fruitless endeavour. I'm not saying it's the "wrong" way to do things, it just doesn't appeal to me. My characters are my own, which does appeal to me.
Secondly, I've read some other topics here and seen some great creations. It seems that a degree of limitation is a good thing when it comes to character creation. Whether it's ethnicity or something else, having a rough set of rules and personal do's and don'ts seems to bring out the best in character creation. It gives people a little personal challenge which encourages more thought to be put into their creations. This is a good thing.
As for presenting them, spamming you with pictures will cause a lagfest. I don't want to do that. A 15 minute movie showing Critical Finishes will get really boring really fast. I don't want to do that. Instead I've made a slideshow, which seems to be the most efficient way of doing things.
The music is Two Steps from Hell- United We Stand, Divided We Fall. So even if you don't care for the actual characters you can still listen to some nice music.
I hope you enjoy it.
