Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

So I really didn't care about this game until I saw the balance aspect of Phoenix. Who's gonna pick her up with me?
 
I have no idea who I'll be running. There's so many teams and different strategies in my head. But no doubt I'll be testing a Phoenix battery team.
 
battery... any chance you mean the more traditional usage, as in assualt and battery... I guess not lol

Just going to rent it to begin with, hopefully I'll se plenty of people running out their DLC characters online though. As for fiery characters the only one I really like the look of is Super Skrull. Plus he's four characters all in one ;]
 
Battery = MvC2 term for a team that bases around gaining meter and abusing hypers. So I might do Felecia/Morrigan/Phoenix. Use Felicia's meter gaining charge move, while assisting morrigan with her kiss that gains a chunk of meter on contact to buy more time for felicias charge. I can chip with Morrigan hypers now, switch to Phoenix, or use Felicias rush down and always have a hyper to tag at the end of a combo.
 
I'm something of a fan of the old DC games, had more of a laugh playing Power Stone 2 tbh though, never picked up the PS3 version and I'm very behind the times on these things... Thanks for the update though, if I ever see you online you can show me what you mean lol, I'll just be missing Sabretooth and practicing my Firecrackers, give you someone to practice on lol...
 
I know some of the terminology and core concepts, but I'm an MvC2/TvC scrub. I'll be running into this spamming chip damage behind assists till I really get into it. Game has a LOT of depth, so I'm starting just as low as most people.But definitely play you if you're on. This is going to be my new main game till SC5 comes out and I become torn between the two.
 
Phoenix better be broken, otherwise there's no reason to use her because that health is ayuussss
 
S-Kill said she's the most broken character ever put in a Capcom game when she's in Dark Phoenix mode. It seems you're gonna be forced to take risks or turtle up till she expires when she's like that...

another strategy is that she retain Dark Phoenix is you tag her out and she won't lose health AND it will buff her assists. Same goes for other characters with special modes.
 
Phuck Dark Phoenix, 5 bars for health that drains on top of shitty health already in exchange for extreme brokenness? Gimmick.

I can see a lot of early round turtling/gauge building in future competitive MvC3 videos.

Only other Darkstalkers (this is Anakaris) character (aside from the obvious ones) I remember, the hands, those mummy hands... lol, seem to remember my mate picking 3 of him cause the triple special was devastating.... Don't see him returning anytime soon, so nostalgic though... *snaps out of it*
 
Yeah she has a ton of tools including an airdash, a ground dash that is a teleport, a swingy move that is normal cancelable, a reflector, a command throw and more. Plus she has gigantic hitboxes.
 
And she has bombs and can throw projectiles at different trajectories (laterally, straight, and up to down)! Hsien-ko is my FAVORITE Darkstalkers characters! I didn't even remember they were putting her in this game! Dunno what the hell she says, her Dizzy-ish special where those spike things come out of the ground!
