Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

It's not that simple but yeah it certainly helps.
Read the rest of my post. I also mention assists + teleport, and some other methods.
I think I air grab like 90% of any overhead teleports people try and if they call an assist then odds are they will teleport so just jump up and block. I actually try and bait teleports just so I can get air throws and discourage people from trying it. It's worked on every person I've played online and offline so teleport characters haven't caused me trouble, aside from wesker and Virgil since they don't teleport into the air. I'm also usually on offence with ghost and my doom assist so it really limits the options people have.
If I didn't see you get smacked by my assist, yeah, odds are that you're gonna try and air throw me. I've played long enough to know to mash a throw tech whenever I try and get in on someone. Teleporting on a character like Ghost Rider is only a thinking matter with my team though if Ghost Rider stays fullscreen all day. But you're saying you want to come to me? Fine by me.

I'm not trying to discourage you from playing your character, so you don't need to theory fight me. I'm simply warning you of the technology out there that can open Ghost Rider up. If you were unaware of it, you wouldn't be able to figure out ways around it. So consider this me helping you. Additionally, I am trying to say that there is a way of playing a smart teleport team, that will cause you trouble.

Hmmm still struggling with my team ????/RR(pendulum)/Hawk(arrow). What I'm looking for is a good point character that can DHC well with RR, can capitalize off of pendulum assist, and can punish people attacking my assists (since they are kinda spammed heavily). I dropped Taskmaster because with his changes getting him to DHC to Racoon requires less than favorable modifications to my combos (tho if anyone has suggestions do tell). Captain America seems pretty good as he gets great damage catching pendulum, does well on point with Hawk assist, and has a hyper that I can use to punish people going after my assists as well as put me right on them and if they block, DHC to RR mine for +8 frames to safety and keep momentum. However DHC to cap from RR is limited midscreen as only Stars and Stripes will reach on the last hit.

So I'm doin Cap(?)/RR(pend)/Hawk(horiz) for now. Any suggestions you would make? My whole goal more than anything is just to use RR.

Also Vergil scares the shit out of me. I'm really worried how he'll be with new tech. Right now his sword hyper is what's got me freaked out as it makes any teleport stupidly hard to block as well as sets up some nasty unblockable set ups with a low assist + teleport above. I kinda feel either all the resets and range he has, he should be a bit more limited in his damage...the guy is a happy birthday nightmare and can completely rape my team by poking with H and S>H into hit confirms. Sure he's unsafe, but run him on point with a good assist and ya...

I dunno anyone finding a hole in Vergils gameplay that might make him seem more reasonable to fight?

Yeah I guess, there is always a way in, I just enjoy talking theory so tend to jump into little debates since I have no one locally to talk theory about.

IFB I really feel you on Vergil, he just feels to good sometimes. Seriously he seems to be Dante and wesker combined its reached the point where I kind of want him on my team.

Yeah...I'm not sure what to do. He's not a character that's really my style, but if I wanted to make an assholish team: Vergil/Wesker/Doom. You have ridiculous set ups and damage all around that team.

No worries, man, I know how it can be. I used to not have a scene for this game either.

As for Vergil, I see a lot more similarities to Zero + Dante. He's basically better than Wesker in every way, make no mistake. Isn't better than Dante though. Vergil/Wesker/Doom isn't that assholish either, tbh. Vergil's not that derpy. Wolverine/Wesker/Doom is.

Wow. Still beating everyone online. Thinking I need to get teams with better synergy but yeah...

Right now, my teams are

Jill (Arrow Kick), Zero (Fire uppercut thing), Iron Man (Unibeam)
and
Trish (Peakaboo), Storm (Whirlwind), Wesker (Samurai Edge)

Also been experimenting with Zero, Strider, Dante which is AMAZING with Jam Session assist but I really don't know how to play Dante well and am still learning Strider. Only thing that I really don't like about the team is Strider's low health...

Dante's actually a bit harder to play now. You have to do Bold Cancel combos now (not a problem for me, but this kills a lot of beginner Dantes), and The Hammer isn't as stupid. Still abusable, you just can't use it to get out of every tough situation like before. Hammer BnB also changed, and j.S can't get max damage if you hit at certain ranges (Farther away, harder to combo off of). For everyone that's at least decent with Dante, this isn't a bad thing, nor is any of it really a problem. But, all the easy mode stuff he had is basically gone. The Dante train is pretty much over in that regard, which I'm grateful for. Day 1-type Dantes are quite a bit easier to put on blast, since they can do even do their ABC combos anymore.

I honestly just want Dante for his assist. Don't really feel like putting the time into learning him, though. They nerfed Trish runaway game, but, luckily, Storm and Wesker got buffs all around. Also, I thought tag ins weren't going to b overheads anymore.

Cancel normals into specials like Judgment Cut or Round Trip to be more safe. Teleports also work, as do calling an assist to help out.

And no characters in Marvel 3 are that hard to learn outside of like...Viper and Dante.

The BnB combo you should be using is:

M, H, 6H, 623L~H, sjM, jH, jS, H, 6H, 214M, H, S, jH, j2H, 3H xx 236+ATK+ATK

Does mid-to-high 600k's worth of damage, and builds almost a full bar. This combo will also work after 623H (Rapid Slash) xx 214+ATK+ATK (Devil Trigger)

Just use another Beehive. Easy enough.

214M basically stops this combo cold. Once I teleport I lose the combo.

EDIT: Also I find Dante much harder to use now. Every time I go into an air combo now, I end up canceling into a special attack I don't want and it just screws me up. Never had that problem in the original.

So much Nova tech out there its ridiculous, I wish I could find some stuff on ghost rider but I guess no one wants to use him besides me.

If you're not gonna learn Dante, might as well not play him. There are plenty of assists that are just as good as Jam Session, and they're for easier characters. You'll just end up having a cannon fodder character, which is something no team should have.

This post tells me that you just need to work on your inputs and execution in general. I haven't had a problem yet with the new special cancelling. I agree that Dante is harder to use now, but not for this reason at all. Just spend more time in practice mode.

There's plenty of Ghost Rider's out there, man. Check out SRK. I even have a Ghost Rider in my scene, and we're not exactly huge.

Ok.
