Vader/Yoda announced for PS3/360!

Well he's easy to interrupt (despite his Force Cancels) as well as keep him at range...add in the fact that he can't step at all and he gets Soul Crushed easily...it's a uphill battle for Yoda most of the time...
 
I am not buying it. 100% worthless, and IMO.. I agree with the article, they planned this from the start with how they said "We have no intentions of releasing Vader on 360 and Yoda on PS3" tons of times in interviews. I'm suggesting that the real community doesn't buy it, and maybe it will send some sort of message out. Besides. Banned characters have no place on a competitive players roster.
 
Vader is pretty much the only worthwhile Star Wars character. Good range, a really fast unblockable with deceptive range, and free extra damage from virtually any knockdown thanks to the force choke. And he has safe moves that help him move in.

Yoda is garbage. Apprentice is low tier.

But Yoda is still annoying as hell to fight.
 
It's official that the DLC will be out on the 23rd. I'm mad because not only was this move predictable, but then they take forever to release it. The DLC is just $5, but that's nothing but profit for something that should have been available in the game to begin with.
 
-sigh- Money is power. Having no Yoda experience except watching RiBu's vids Yoda has the advantage of not being affected by Vader 4A+B. Vader's UBs are great but A+B probably won't even hit Yoda. I want Yoda for the challenge not for $5.
 
Yoda is available now eventually. I just downloaded him from PSN Japan.
Can't believe that he cannot be grabbed by neither Calamity Symphony nor Summon Suffering.

They are now available on both consoles and I'm liking Vader so far.

But I'm just a little weary after the whole Algol debacle and I don't want to waste quality practice time on Vader to just find that he's banned in tourneys just like what happened personally to me with Algol.

What's his status?

I think he's allowed now but you never know.

I doubt they'll ever be. It forces people to buy extra content not found in the original game. At least the bonus characters are in every copy of SCIV, but even they aren't allowed. Don't get your hopes up for a change with DV and Yoda.

Costly? No, what's costly is the PS3 stick that I'd have to buy for tourneys even though I don't have a PS3. $5 is nothing.

how would they be allowed... looking at the xbox terms of service. unless the tournament host buys vader and puts it on their system no one can really bring him along. if he was free and didnt have all these silly restrictions then i would say yes though.

I feel your pain... I had to buy a ps3 stick recently haha i havent even got to use it yet because my ride ditched me for SB3
