What CE is the best(Gameplay wise)

So which CE do you think is best? I'm talking about if it ROs, W!s, does good damage, safe on block, atleast a little quick, can combo into, can combo from, and might TC or TJ. I dont really know which ones best but I know there is one.

Algol
Nightmare
Sieg.

All of those get mentions for being both great in and out of combo's, or for just having stupid good damage for what they do.
 
Nightmare: does a lot of damage if it's guard impacted.
Cervantes: works perfect with combos.
Yoshimitsu: I think it's the only CE that hits low.
Ivy: It's a grab,hard to avoid sometimes.
 
Elysiums is bad. No RO or W! properties, cant combo from it, and if you just guard thd first hit of it you just guard the rest of it giving you a whole bunch of meter. Cervys is a high and not very damaging. Algols lv 1 CE does terrible damage but you can combo off it, lv 2 does crazy damage but it takes 200 meter and cant do anything after, RO, or W! But Algols is still pretty great. Probably one of the best
Cervy's is there because although it's a high it can punish crazy well and is fast enough for him to combo off itself or a guard break. If it wasn't high it'd be broken.
Ely's is there because you know all that bullshit natsu does right now? Now add the damage of ely's CE at the end. It's multi hit so it doesn't scale nearly as badly as natsu's natural one.

contrary to paranormal's reasoning, Cervy's is almost instant and has unlimited range making it an excellent punisher, and can also be used mid combo. Ely's also has unlimited range, can hit backwards, while the opponent is laying on the floor, and I think some one would have to be insane to try and just guard anybody's CE.

Xiba and Nightmare for aGIing everything, xiba's more so than nightmares because the GI is instant and can be used in combos.

Opyrrha on damage alone.

Natsu's has everything but an Agi. Her CE is sexy as hell.
 
I prefer ones based on reaction. I was originally gonna say Raphaels on the premises of invincibility so in usage it caould work like an SRK Super. but I retact that now after being slapped out of it so many times. How ever while the range is limited upon activation where a move has been activated I can say it has a 85 percent success rate. Very useful for this early in the game.

but as for now.

Nightmare/Xiba the Gi brothers
Elysium for omnidirectional guaranteed hit when airborne can help seal the RO.
Py and Omega py.

Because as previously stated it can be used in combo and can be combo'd into itself for that extra edge in damage output.
( Although compared to most damage I say he needs to throw out two of them to get that damage like the others)
 
A.Pat - i8, punishes most moves in the game, can combo even from 2A
Nightmare - auto GI,can deal almost 200 damage, adv on block

Throw CE's (Asta/Ivy) are the worst in the game I think, unless someone can prove otherwise.
 
A. Pat because EIGHT FRAMES
Elysium because big damage and OTGs.

I'm actually having a lot of success with Astaroth's after a GB, and since you can keep the combo going after it I've been saving meter to use it frequently. Not sure if it's legit or if the people I'm playing with aren't ducking in time though, haven't actually tested it.
 
I'm really surprised only a few people have mentioned yoshimitsu's CE. 120 damage raw, fast/instant startup, hits low, easily combos, safe on block, ducks highs. Easily one of the best.

That considered, the top three are probably Yoshi, Elysium, and Nightmare, respectively.
 
No.1 Nightmare, does load of damage if it GI, does more if it doesn't, and you are most likely dead if you get CH by it(highly unlikely though).

After that, Xiba and Yoshi. I don't think aPat's good, sure it's easy to land, but the damage is so low.
 
I think Mitsurugi's bears mention on utility alone. You can tack it on to pretty much half his moveset, it combos into itself, RO, W!, and scoops enemies off the ground. There are a lot of moves in the game that hit grounded, and a lot that RO/W!. There are not a lot of moves that can RO/W! FROM the ground. It also catches all rolls on wakeup; so you can knock people down near the ring edge, and when they roll to avoid RO...

It might not be the very best in the game (I mean, come on. 8 frames. 8.) But it's easily top three material. See Cervantes/aPat. Damage isn't everything (not that 60 + clean hit is nothing).

I think Nightmare's is worse than most just because of how punishable it is. It's a bigger risk than anyone else takes, for basically the same reward (you aren't hitting anyone with the non-GI version, sorry) plus, I'm pretty sure he's the only one that can't combo into his CE at all whatsoever since he just stands there like an idiot for a thousand or so frames (maybe Damp? lol). Xiba's is much better.

I'm with Ring on how bad the throws are, especially considering the characters that got them. People are already watching for throws against Ivy and Astaroth anyway, and the fact that you can randomly TC under them half the time doesn't help. If you land them they're good, but... so is every garbage unblockable in the game.

Viola's is just sad. You can tell what the developer was trying to do, but I just don't think it's worth it. It should do 40 or so damage and still trap them. Or something.

Tira's just randomly drops at tip range, doesn't it? I don't play against a lot of Tiras in the post patch world (everybody 'round here that played her even a little bit seems to have dropped her...) but I swear I heard somebody complain about it.
