What do you think your strengths and weaknesses as a player are?

I'm not very good against pressure characters like Natsu. I also have a very crappy reaction time for my age.

Weaknesses:
Playing to much of a block and punish game, getting killed when the opponent finds a way around my block.
Thinking of a cool (not necessarily good) move I would like to land and getting caught up in getting it instead of landing a more suitable move.
Seeing an opponent freezing up or getting confused, and getting confused and freezed myself instead of hitting them with all I have.
Poor reaction times.

Strengths:
Patience to wait out reckless players and punish them for it (does not work so well with opponent using the same playstyle as me who are better, which sadly most are )
Sometimes able to play strange and confusing, while still having control and not get punished for the crap I do.
Able to put aside respect for the opponent , which often is a way to win or at least do relatively well against a better player.

Strengths - Execution has always been my strongest attribute. I've always been able to consistently do moves that others seem too struggle with. I main Nightmare and I'm easily at least 95% with iaga, NS b:A I'm 100% and 4k BE just I'm 90%. Just started with aPat 2 weeks ago and I'm roughly 80% double JFT from both sides.

Positioning/Spacing - No matter what I do I'm always a step too far away or too near. I know where I should be just can't get there lol. Recently I've been practicing nothing but movement to try and improve this aspect.

My strengths...HUM...,
i'm rather good at adaptation and i can improve quite well vs someone far stronger than me.
I do really well against turtling opponent because i understand the tools of my character to open someone's guard.
My playstyle is aggressive, i step a lot or try sneaky attacks while at negative frames, it can turn an opponent in a turtling (or very unsafe) playstyle and lead me to victory.

My WeaknessES,
I'm the most awful spammer of this world, if i had 1€ or each 2363B, 33B i did, i would have been able to buy the whole fuckin' Namco Bandai and support a Super SC edition by myself. i'm also the true master of spam 2k into oblivion (And *sigh* it works a lot)
I lack consistency, i can fail a lot of combo or essential JF and i need a lot of warm-up time to be somewhat efficient.
I tend to never duck on a regular basis, people don't often notice that and don't try to spam grab or low (They should!)
I don't know a lot of my character punishment against odd characters.

Strengths

-Patient
-Calm headed (unless you 4B me to death)
-Don't care about win/loss ratio as it comes down who has the better skills
-Execution as I main aPat so execution must be solid.

Weaknesses
-Fail to react to punishable moves
-Fall for stupid things such as 4B
-Fail to break B grabs (I am too slow)
-Too slow to attack when opponent's guard is down
-Lack of match up knowledgement
-Fail to improve by still playing scrubs
-Fail to do JFT because of my fear that I feel that it will break my controller (sad isn't it?)

Lol I actually play better if I am acting like a total douche compared to me not being a douche.

Strengths:
-Good Zoning.
-Good at frame traps.
-Not easy to annoy.
-Decent yomi.

Weaknesses:
-Bad at breaking B throws.
-Attacking immediately after sidestepping.
-Going for the same mix up even if they know how to beat it.
-Punishing moves with quick block stun.
-Bad at JG.
-Bad at getting people out of my face.
-Twitch ducking.
-Awful at getting the last hit when people have like 10 health left.

Strengths

-Can make good reads
-Pretty good at punishing whiffs
-Usually good reactions and perception

Weaknesses

-Execution (mostly due to laziness, my REAL weakness)
-Adapting to radically different styles
-Tendency to play too safe

I bet there's more i could put for both categories, but it's difficult to judge yourself without a good amount of experience.

Strength; D-pad inputs and general left-handedness.

Weakness; Right-hand inputs (slow right thumb.. AKA harder to JFT)

Strengths:
Good Yomi
Good reactions
Able to adapt quickly
Unorthadox playing style/able to confuse people
Plays a lot/has 8 years experience
Good defense
Able to apply good guard pressure (but this could just be the characters I use having good guard gauge pressure, idk)

Weaknesses:
Execution (definitely my biggest weakness). Causes me to drop combo's sometimes or miss the GI or JG.

MU knowledge. I usually don't do enough homework and attempt to come up with solutions on the fly.

Don't always punish the best way possible (due to the above lack of MU knowledge)

Sometimes gets hit by absolutely retarded shit like UB's because I occasionally get the deer in the headlights feeling. (eeww look at the pretty fire!)

Sometimes I get so nervous that my spine starts a burning sensation, my fingers start shaking, and I start fucking up left and right.

For some apparent reason, I get into a habit of breaking throws with A over and over again, or other times with B over and over again, even though I know damn well I should be mixing the grab breaks up.

Frames. Sure, I know some frames for my characters and some frames for others, but at best it's in bits and pieces. I usually go on intuition and "feeling" more than I do frames, which is bad because "feeling" is inconsistent and can be misleading, and I often try something that is mostly likely 1 or 2 frames too slow and get hit.

Great thread BTW! I really had to sit down and think about this.

Strengths:
Unpredictability. Sometimes, even I don't know what I'm about to do.
Fairly good at spacing and zoning.
Patient player.

Weaknesses:
Breaking Throws. Can't do it to save my life. (Pun intended :P)
Just Frames. Some I can do every time, some I haven't done to this day. (JF Twister to be precise)
Frame data. Yeah. This moves quicker than that one. Nuff said :P
Ukemi. Can't break the habit of just holding G when grounded, like SC IV.

Strength/Weakness:
Input/Execution. Most of the time, I try and do one move, end up doing another, which usually ends up a better move for what I was trying to do.

Strengths:

Good Punishing, in general.
Good spacing.
Unpredictability, I like my tricky moves.
Seem to keep my cool.
Acceptability to losses.
Patience. It's why I like my ranged characters.

Weaknesses:

Can't tech well. (Ukemi or Throw breaks)
Fall for lows perhaps too often (Pun intended.).
Inconsistency on JFs. Sometimes I'll hit 1A:B, iGDR, and 236:B:4 all the time, sometimes I just fail.
Fall for mindgames often.
Get hit by retardedly slow UBs, like NM's 4A+B, Tira's 6A+B, and Cervy's 44[A+B]
Bad at wall combos. Although, this is probably the easiest to solve (Watch some Future Press combo guides on YT, you know.)

Strengths:
Reaction speed, ask Soulassassin for that one XD.
Memorizing a lot that happens during matches which makes me good at predicting.

Weaknesses:
Choking, I find it really had to land the final blow. I prefer to just overkill and win the round the letting my opponent live with a slither of health.
Patience, I have none. Just standing still for 1 second is way to much for me.
Overconfident with JG UB and CE's. Nothing is more fun that JGing a CE but I've lost a lost of matches trying it. :P
Horrible against extreme pressure.
Usually already lost in my head when playing someone who's an equal or is slightly better than me.

I wanted to do a strength and then a weakness but I'm can't. I'm a pessimist and it's way to hot and UGH.

Strengths: Combos, any difficulty, baiting for whiff punishment ala 11B, empty jump (I love using this a lot during oki to throw or a mid or just to advance closer if opponents roll a lot)

Weaknesses: Impatient play, super advanced yomi, defeatist (sometimes I play worse if I lose more often, but can be countered by the fact I stick on and carry on playing)

Improvements: Whiff punish more, improve throw breaks, dig deep on my own moveset, expose strings, what can I tech crouch, what can I aGi, JG more often, I can improve my spacing.

AZ

Strengths:
Calm Minded
Spacing/Zoning
Combos
Mixups
Good reads and Punishing (at times)

Weaknesses:
Throws, I never try to break them
Not JGing alot
If I start losing, I will keep losing lmao
Matchup Knowledge (BIG THING)

Strengths:
Composed, patient, determined, and devious for any opportunity

Weakness:
Lack of knowledge (in this case match-ups)
Lack of precise execution as a Yoshi
Can lose composure depending on the situation

Strengths:
Calm - I never get angry at Soul Calibur (Mitsu 4B aside)
JGing - When I consciously think of JGing, I'm usually pretty consistent with it
Mixups - Yeah, not much to expand on here

Weaknesses(quite a few):
I make crap reads - I usually just throw attacks out
Block punishment - It usually means having to look up numbers and stuff and I usually cba
Inconsistent - I'll be playing well one minute then like crap the next
Freeze up against better players - Takes me multiple games against them for me to even get my head in the game
Giving players too much respect - Expecting some players to be so amazing that I could never touch them when they are just human players like me

Strengths:
I am pretty adaptable
I can break throws well

Weaknesses:
I freeze up (sometimes when I see an unblockable)
I don't grapple as often
Don't catch low attacks very well (improving)
I don't ukemi as much
I stay too close to an opponent

I think that's all lol

strenghts (in my opinion):
I can do really difficult combos.
i the moveset of all the cast and because of that, i know things like JGing or ducking strings pretty well.
as i just said, im good with JG.
im really dedicated.
good GI game.

weaknesses:
i suck at breaking throws (i can break them, but most of the time i guess incorrectly, tend to B break most of the time).
i NEVER randomly duck.
i only ukemi when i have to.
even though im know all the characters movesets, i suck at playing particular matchups (like sieg versus oprah) because i cant take advantage of my knowledge.
i tend to counterpick a lot (i tend to have a lot of trouble sticking with characters).
i tend to not care about doing unsafe moves.

Don't have many strengths but I have a ton of weaknesses.

I sometimes will get locked into patterns without changing it up making my play style predictable. This also stems from me only being willing to use a select group of moves. I tend to avoid move I don't like and never revisit them but I've slowly been learning to change that.

Mind games. I get caught chasing my own tale more times than not. Somehow I seem to get torched by anyone with half decent mind games. One mix up makes me second guess my choices, and while my opponent is doing something basic I'm playing mind games on myself and end up throwing away matches I could easily have won.

My biggest weakness is an overall Lack of knowledge. There are just too many things I don't know about SC mechanics and match ups. It shows heavily when I lose to someone using simple gimmicks that I just can't get around.

weakness
-I'm a chronic twitch croucher. When people figure this out, I'll usually WR right into a grab...which brings me to
-I always forget that I can break grabs. Once the entire grab animation is over then I'm like, "oh wait. haha that guy's been doing the same grab over and over. I should do something about that."

strengths
-I like to think I'm good at noticing patterns. In pretty much all my wins I'll drop the first two rounds and make a come back.
-GI's and subsequent GI wars. I WILL EAT YOUR METER BITCH
