What would you rate SCV out of 10 ?

Jag may not like the game, but he will keep attending majors because I hug him when I see him.
You can't retire from my hugs Jag. And as a player I am free to Astaroth... =)

lmao! And it´s not that i don´t like the game itself... It´s just no SC for me anymore.

Me too. There are quite some things about SC5 where I think it looks unfinished. We can talk about that tomorrow. ;)
But generally I like SC5, I hope some whiffing and QS4G/Fuzzy guard issues will be fixed soon.

Yep, you are welcome Kalas. ^^

I don't think (s)he was criticizing your spelling, more the idea that SC4 was more advanced. The game was a bit slower and more forgiving toward defensive styles/turtles, and the movesets were a bit longer, but I really don't see how it was any more advanced. The introduction of meter/CE/BE, not to mention QS and JG make SC5 the more advanced of the two. Don't let SC4's longer movelists fool you, most good players utilize probably 30% or less of them.

I think the truth lies in the definition of the word "advanced". I like fighting games in which the focus lies on mind games between the gamers. For example you know that in sciv stuns were shakable. So you can say "its more forgiving than scv" ok, but in here lies the mind game. If your planning a combo in sciv against a good player you had to suprise him in order to make him fail the stunshake. You couldn't do always the same thing. And what you say that people only uses 30% of the movelists was/is true, if 2 medium gamers are fighting each other (because they don't know many more moves) or a very good player plays against a medium player (and in this case the standart moves are enough to win). And certainly i have my favorite moves too, but if i fight against a very skilled opponent, i have always to vary my attack patterns to win the round. I give you an example for that: Lets talk about mitsus 1a . You probably know his standart low very well. If you do it very often, you'll get caught with it. If you vary it with 11a which is actually the worse move in comparison (it doesn't hit the opponent on the ground) you'll be more succsesful in landing lows, because of the simple reason: your opponent isn't used to it. Same goes for everything else too (throws, attack patterns, movements etc.).

So my defintion to "advanced" is: Every player should have the possibility in nearly any sitiuation to react to whatever their opponent does. If you get stunned you should be in disadvantge but not hopelessly lost. I don't like that. And a game should give you also the possibilities to trick your opponents, to make them mess up their "escape possibilty" in a particular situation. That is what i miss in scv.

And to JG I say the following: It is not very practicable to do, because it is to difficult to execute. If you invent a movement into a fighting game which is only doable for very few gamers its not very well designed (at least that's my oppinion).
