Why aren't the Americas ever represented with a character in the Main Cast?

Yeah, Rock indeed "raised" himself. And Bangoo is 100% native american.

Makes me dreaming about the overall dark atmosphere of Soul Edge (most characters had a kind of tragic/epic background, especially Siegfried, Rock, Mitsurugi, Voldo). Ah, good times, when the Soul series story wasn't already cheesy.

I'm sorry, I must derail this thread for lols all round:

Aaaaaaand finally, Europe according to gay men:

I lol'd damn hard. I mean, the American one was funny, but I was laughing at the British one even though I didn't fully understand it XD

... lol Las Vegas.

Sadly its too small to read what they say about Belgium...

Anyway er...can we stop the "civil war" ? There's no american rep' in soul calibur, big deal. too much games praise america imo so one less cannot be bad. If games needed a rep for every country everytime to prevent some rage, well exept for sports game and Tintin i dont remember saw a single belgian rep' XD

Back to the "Rock" topic, he always been British.

Well you may get an american character at some point in the form of a native american because of the time period and setting. Still unless they come up with a great character design or decide to use bangoo its not really needed.

So many random words to say about this, so bare with me here.

-While the location of importance is Europe, and Asia just happens to travel there from time to time, I think of the whole events in Soul Calibur to be a worldly thing. For example, the Evil Seed event. However, since this game was so focused on Patroklos and Pyrrha, that can explain why other continents are not included, and as to why Asia's portrayal is soooooooooo small. That could also explain why Talim and the Koreans aren't there, unless they all have ships to travel.

-Personally, the most unique you could get out of an American is a Native American at best, and Bangoo would fit the bill. A slave wouldn't be as pleasing (which is why I liked the African Tribal approach, or Zasalamel, instead, even though his physical body is from Africa, and not "Zasalamel" himself), while a Caucasian......we have too much of those already.

-While Eurasia was serving an important part of the plot, what about Persia, or Arabic characters? A little off topic, but they are a part of Eurasia.

But to sum it up, it's probably the whole setting in this game. Hopefully they do have a more international roster in the next game, but until then, we can just take what we have.

I still want an actual Ottoman Turk playable.

Another of Setsuka's orphans perhaps? With ties to Pat?

Because the Ottoman Empire was he de facto most influential power at the time of SC, and that really isn't shown well.

Pat's concept for a 2p costume was a step in the right direction.

Rock is a native american, he was good until sc1 then the worst happened -____-, you know the rest of the story, mega lowtier.

If the Soul Calibur events took place all over the world, it couldn't ever be "shrouded in history"

Rock never was native american...he is british since soul edge u_u' he just lives in america with bangoo, that doesnt make him "native american" or anything.

Raised in the new world, so his customes and everything is from the new world not from britain.

However, that does not make him Native American, or American for that matter. He was born and raised in Britain, thus makes him Britain.

Indeed *sips tea*
Man learn your history god so much know it alls
, make sure before you argue you know what you are saying so you dont look stupid.

Well, I'm a know-it-all now. I must be doing something right.

Rock is a native american

You are pretty much saying that he is Native American, because of this....

Raised in the new world, so his customes and everything is from the new world not from britain.

Before I go "know-it-all" again and prove you to be blatantly wrong, I'm going to just leave it at that, so I don't start an argument.

I'll just let someone else do it for me.

I would've love to see Bangoo in Soul Calibur V but I would've also enjoyed seeing an Aztec Jaguar Knight be represented as well as an Inca warrior but there's always SC6.
