alright, so i already know yoshi's top 10 moves. very useful thread, we've all read it.

but what i would like to know myself here, is what are his four to five moves that can be spammed--with strategy, of course--that make him very difficult to beat?

a good mix-up of quick lows, mids, s. mids, and quick high strings--this is how i play as paul in tekken, and playing aggressively in this manner seems to work very well, but i don't know yoshi's high-priority movies in sc4. if i'm out of line for asking such a thing here, feel free to let me know

lol bb, b:a (for counter attacking), WC 1kkkk (< use a variation of) 6b, and GI......and if u can do it iMCF.

lol those r my best spam moves.....

Against good players, Yoshi has nothing spammable. Yoshi's not so simple that you can just spam a set of 5-10 moves over and over again and expect to win.

If you're looking for the 50/50 Paul of SCIV, you might want to look at Mitsurugi. If you want to play Yoshi, consider watching vids of some of the Yoshi players on here to get a better sense of how Yoshi can be played.

yep...no character HONESTLY has something spammable though. If you actually "spam" something than people tend to just read it with a lot of anticipation. 50/50 spam like Hajime's example of Paul is more what you mean I assume. But yea, imcf is NOT spammable. Yes..you can use it a lot... but against certain characters its hard to get into range...it can be sidestepped if you are just spamming it without any set-ups...it can be hit by tech-jump moves...9/8 k will hit it as well usually (hitbox issues withstanding). You obviously can't spamm BB or AA ... for the same reason NO character can in this game...the triangle of low beats high, high beats mid, mid beats low does a good job of stopping that type of spam.

bA is not spammable...AT ALL. Maybe online against people that are attack happy it works but that shit is dead on block, not great on hit, and good on counter-hit. So unless its a spammy person or you are only using as an interrupt against slow moves (which isn't spam..) this isn't gonna be spammed.

Probably the closest move that he has to "spammable" is 66B...but again...he doesn't have 50/50 spam because his best "50/50" is only godly online (his DGF stance 50/50 because of reaction time issue due to lag..blah). He just doesn't have fast enough lows to get a 50/50 mix-up without some kind of frame advantage/wake to help with the trickery.

i never said to just do imcf and bA. wat i meant is that if u r goin to use five moves only in a match, i would use those, not just imcf, but imcf and bA and bb and 6b etc....

Mmm, iMCF is spammable, hehehehe, against some slow chars, cause the recovery time, but if ur talking about spamming, u will gonna have some problems pulling out iMCF, and more importantly, pulling out iMCF at right moment, not just pulling out iMCF to show how many iMCF in a row you can pull out hehehe.

6b is mainly just used online as a crutch to make up for the input issue imcf gets from online matches. Otherwise its not that great of a move..but it has its uses.

The point is that he doesn't have 5 moves that you can use to win a match. you need more of his arsenal. He is a situational character, not a "masher" like mitsu who needs about 4 moves to win against a large portion of no matter who he is playing. Plenty of yoshi's moves are just not very good against certain characters. yes..bb and AA are used against everyone but they are not spammable. (and GI doesn't count as a move..lol).

also..1kk(etc) isn't all that great either except online and sometimes on wake (such as to finish a match and they are expecting to get a punish right after fc 3k.

and don't worry...I understand that you are not saying to only use 5 moves but attempting to answer the poster's question. So to some extent you actually answered his question and hajime and I did not. But its probably more helpful for him overall to just tell him "no..your question is fail" than to give him false hope that he can play yoshi like mitsu and still win against decent/good ppl often without pointing out that he shouldn't be tryin to play yoshi like that if he's trying to get "good" with him. but mhee..

and to lolo... its spammable once you are in range and you've already done it once..but I don't think thats what the poster means by "spammable" (since when has someone asked for a spammable move that hits once..combos..and then you have to find a way to get close again..lol..I mean..I assume he wants a 2kb BB "combo" like mitsu :-D )

If his question is "What moves can I spam to create constant 50/50s with Yoshi?" The answer is that Yoshi lacks that 50/50 game that Mitsu brings to the table.

If his question is "What are Yoshi's top five moves that I can spam over and over in an intelligent manner to win?" Then he's just created a repeat of the top 10 Yoshi moves thread.

badass: No offense, but winning with bA alone means your opponents are pretty bad.

Gator: Until 66B whiffs (because the move is glitchy or is just a stupidly razor thin vertical) or is stepped.

Either way. OP has been answered. Thread closed.
