SG Damage Ranking for all characters

I was wondering if we have an agreed upon ranked list of characters from top to bottom, who do the most SG/CF damage.

I'm assuming it'll look something like this, this is an updated list which, at the request of genver I decided to add to my first post.

THIS TIER LIST IS UP FOR DEBATE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR OWN OPINIONS. COMMUNITY CONSENSUS = VALIDITY

Ivy, Apprentice, and Tira I'd like more input on, their tier list here ISN'T set in stone yet, I feel these characters have CF potential that hasn't been utilized yet. For example, Raphael players KNOW his CF damage options because it really helps out his attack plan and forces opponents to take risks, giving Raphael CH opportunities he so desperately needs. With characters like Ivy and tournament worthy Apprentice's, you don't need it, so there's less reason for the players to explore the possibilites. Tira is also low tier, and not fast at all. It's just amazing to me she'd have bad CF damage as well....does Namco hate the bitch?

Also, I'm not seeing this "OMG MAXI CF DAMAGE" bullshit everyone's talking about, WHO'S HERE BEEN CF'D BY A MAXI? Don't worry.....I'll wait........

You'll block 80+ hits a match with this guy, and I've never even been blinking in the red yet, yet all the Maxi players will keep bragging about their CF damage. I'm not buying it.

Nightmare is surprisingly crummy when it comes to CF.

Maxi isn't great, but he's definately better than Nightmare in this department.

Characters with good grab games will have unexplored CF potential, since they'll just grab blocking opponants.

I'd probably put Siegfried ahead of Raph
 
I´d probably put Sophie and Lizzy somewhere up there in the top10. Sophs 4B+K eats SG for breakfast.

Actually, Zas has many moves with good SG damage that are very safe, or at least practical.

Just my opinion of course. Things are a little muddy from 13-26.
 
Voldo and Yun are definitely 1 and 2 respectively. Yun's frames show that he was designed with that in mind. But Voldo is safer and has MORE options. Ugh.

If the moves that crush well are a natural part of the character's gameplan, safe, and maybe even track to a side then they've got an above-average CF game. I'm not sure but I think Mi-Na and Sieg should switch in the list. Is there anything of Mi-Na's that makes blocking her big CF fishers realistic?
 
It's mostly stuff like guaranteed 44A+B block setups, WS B abuse and 33KB. Then there's things like 6A+B, which could work well if you had a fucking way to cancel it.
 
Algol should be somewhere in the middle or better just cause of 2B+K being such a godlike move anyway and CFing in 10 blocks.

Pretty solid list. At the very least the top 10 are definitely the ones people should be a little scared of being CF'd by. Order is debatable, but regardless...

However, the only one in the top 10 that baffles me is Mina at number 3. I haven't seen any Mina get someone's soul gauge even red.

Maybe I just have to see it to believe it.

Edit: Nevermind, I believe her CF game is pretty good. 3rd best in the game however, I might argue against =P
 
Yep, Sophie's SG game is ridiculous. Just spam BB, 3B, and 66B to get your opponent to red very fast. Although I am surprised that Amy is lower than chars like Vader and Lizardman. Anyone enlighten me as to why?

And yes! Raphael is actually good in something! High SG damage ftw.
 
Mina has good SG damage, but not a good SG game, IMO. 44A+B and crap does monstrous SG damage, but Mina is at a disadvantage like all the time. She's always waiting for her turn to get a poke in or whatever, not bum-rushing the opponent (like Amy or Voldo).

I belive he should be up farther on the list as well. Stupid moves like 11B, 4AB, do ridiculous SG damage.

But on the other hand moves you thought would do more SG damage like 6BBB dont do shit for SG damage. But he has a really solid SG game
 
Okay few questions and answers

Raphael DOES GOOD SG damage, I'm surprised I didn't have to argue with anyone on that. He's kinda lacking in a good attack plan, but his CF damaging options, with the exception of Prep A+B are all pretty easy to implement and use(11B isn't safe but it's not that easy to punish either).

I hear Maxi has good CF game from some higher level players......are you serious? ALL THE MOVES MAXI FORCES YOU TO BLOCK, I'd say his CF game is horrible. I've yet to be CF'd by a Maxi but yeah...not always there goal I assume.

Setsuka, you sure she shouldn't be in top 7? I see her at around 11-15, but everytime I play a decent Setz, I always seem to be flashing red somewhere near the end of the 2nd/3rd/4th round.

Mina's debatable, because like others have said before, she's GOT the CF damage, but her CF game is hard to utilize though, because she's always constantly struggling just to be in the right position to have any advantage.

I see Cervantes has so called "horrible" CF game from the lists...o_o....with all those Guard breaks? I'm not arguing otherwise, but I'm surprised he wouldn't have at least "fair" CF game.

Ivy is another one I'm wondering about, Any Ivy players can come forth and proclaim where they believe their character stands on a SG damage ranking? I'm curious.

The order is definitely debatable. I put Lizzy up there because his brainless anti-step discourages people from avoiding his gauge eaters like 66B.

Yeah, now that I think about it, Maxi could definitely go up. It just seems like he has a hard time finishing when they're flashing. 66B+K is a little obvious.
 
Remember, guard breaks mean nothing in this game. Many of them leave you at negative, and some are even unsafe on block.
