AstralHeat.com WTF?!?

"Massive support" in our eyes comes from our already existing community here at 8WR.

You may have heard this little saying about the "road less traveled;" making new communities is hard. Jaxel, and the rest of us here at 8WR, enjoy it. If our support for new players makes the game grow bigger, then maybe a new site is what we need. Just because DustLoop didn't provide "massive support" doesn't mean that Jaxel can't make a subforum for BB in 8WR. Or, better yet, open it up to the public so that we can have two communities that are growing, with some ties between them. Maybe this will help raise 2D fighter interest in 3D, or vice-versa?

Having BB subforums at 8WR organizes all our our chatter; what most 8WR BB players want. I think Jaxel one-upped us; he wanted THAT community to grow too, separate of the existing 8WR community. Is that bad? Maybe because he leaves some BB players out of the 8WR jokes, or maybe some 8WR players don't even think about BB at all cause we're an SC4 site. But I think the sister-sites is a good thing, if for no reason other than that we seem to cater to everyone (noobs, pros, casuals) a lot more than those other sites do.
 
Well I'm just saying this could give the appearance of an attempt at a take over. A lot of players over there expressed interest in adding that stuff to dustloop but it didn't seem like any real attempt was made at that. The thread was presented asking dustloop members if they thought it was a good idea, only a few who posted in the thread did so it appears getting their opinion was not at all the real point of the thread since the site went up anyway. My concerns could be pointless and maybe this won't cause any division in the hardcore BB community but I just hope this doesn't bring any hostility to SC community. But if it helps expand BB and give the game longevity then I guess it's a great idea.
 
It's one thing to say that it can be a sister site, but this is vaguely reminiscent of how 8wr was originally a sister site to cf. At least Jaxel put a small link saying to visit dustloop, but honestly, who visits the front page? If you want to have any semblance of such intentions, at least put up a sticky on the main forums or something.

It really erks me how a lot of 8way members say this as if we are the city on the hill. I have never had a problem with dustloop, Shinobi's link was a perfect example of that. I have never had a problem with Tekken Zaibatsu, and surprisingly enough when I joined Shoryuken for SFIV, I never had a problem with it either. The only hostility that I can think of from those sites comes from crap like what Jaxel did.
 
Am I the only one thinking that site is the reason we are getting those stupid annoying full screen ads on here? lol I know that site isnt paying for itself.

Astral Heat was an awesome idea before the game hit store shelves. Personally I thought Jaxel was kinda late on the jump....But to be honest the only reason I bought the game was because Astral Heat made me realize that people here would play blaze blue.

It's a new a game a new franchise, Astral Heat lets do it.
 
If I can say something abotu the matter. Which is that I feel is why should most people care about thsi anyways? If you don't liek it, then go someone else. And I think Jaxle already said he didn't care what you guys thoguht about the site. So, isn't thread kind of pointless in a way?

Actually the original post was just asking the point of the site. Now I'm just posting in here to counter some of the bs crap people are saying. CY you seriously need to invest in a dictionary or something.
