G.A.M.M.E. Orlando, Florida June 4-6 2010

Count me in, and looking for a MM with Hajime, for the Yoshi supremacy :)... The MM Oof´s talking about sounds good, but, maybe 5 chars, 10 is a lot, I guess that´s just for real masters.

I support RTD on doing a stage banning instead hilde banning, anyway, if you go there RTD, I´ll be glad to face Hilde on any small stage :)

I'm all for a complete lack of hilde or algol. Sure, the entire casts has issues in this game, but at least they are reasonable to deal with -- Hilde and algol are just too broken.

I'm not saying I wouldn't go if they were brought into the lineup again; no, I'd go regardless and face them all the same. But this moves scores a big win for the tournament by making it more competitive and therefore more exciting to potential newcomers and returnees alike.

I'll have a room at the Orlando Metropolitan, which is about 5 miles away from the venue. I'll also have a rental car that I'll take care of on my own, but I'm willing to split the room and of course give rides to and from the venue. It'll be about $50/person for the weekend. It's a suite with accomodations for 4. I got a good deal on it; so I don't need the help, but I thought I'd help out any stragglers out there. PM me if you're interested.

I see some people from New-York who are going.

Question : how are you going ? Plane, car, train ?
When are you leaving, when do you return ?

Thx.

Is there anyone going from Miami to Orlando and vice versa, I need a lift if possible, the tkt from Mexico to Miami is half price than Mexico to Orlando...

I'm hyped for this tournament.

However, I have some concerns right now with the way it's being handled before hand.

First of all, there doesn't appear to be any specific schedule released in terms of the time/day that tournaments are being held. And this is something that I need to know, because if the SC4 tournament is only on Saturday, then I will want to buy a 2 day theme park passes for Friday and Sunday. And I would like to buy those passes ahead of time so not knowing the exact tournament schedule makes me buying the tickets a gamble.

Also, my other concern is the pre-registration for the tournament at http://gamme.eventbrite.com/. If you click on "more info" under Soul Calibur IV, it says:

"Soul Calibur IV: Singles - Please use SRK/8wayrun Name or Handle in First Name Box and please add Zip Code - this will help with Regional separation of Ladders"

However, there is no first name box or zip code box at any point from that pre-reg page, to the last page where you do the final paypal payment transaction. Although this shouldn't be a problem when it comes to picking up your tickets because they still get the email associated with the payment, I don't get how they will set up the brackets ahead of time with only the email address. The pre-registration seems very poorly set up. I emailed GPX Gaming about this and have yet to receive a response.

And the last thing is this website, http://www.gamm-expo.com/. Back in November they posted "The GAMME Website is almost completed testing on IE, FireFox and Google Chrome, still finishing some of the updates and will have the site ready asap.", and now around half a year later the website isn't opened yet. I was hoping the website would show tournament schedules etc. But GAMME is nearing a month away and it's still not up yet. =\

Anyways, hopefully GPX Gaming will get back to me on my email, but I figured I'd post my concerns here as well in case anyone has any answers.
