Taki's Replacement Revealed?!

This week Daishi has been teasing that he might do an early reveal of one of the two silhouettes posted about a week ago. He's been asking which of the two silhouettes people want to see most, and today he gives us an early look at a brand new female character!

Daishi has been rather glib on whether or not Taki would be returning. However, with the reveal of this character, it can be assumed that Taki may only play a secondary role in Soul Calibur 5.

Ivy has been confirmed by Daishi a LOOONG time ago. They just didn't show us her concept art yet.

Doesn't look pink to me, unless my eyes are suddenly not working.

To me that's Magenta in the first picture, which is basically dark pink. The second one does look red, but it looks pink in gameplay.

But that's just me :)

Anyway I think that the fact that she has blond hair is obviously gonna mean she's going to have an outgoing personality. She's probably going to be a little clumsy and silly and I would welcome a character like that into the soul caliber series seeing that their wasn't anyone like that yet. (Dampierre doesn't count.) I like this new person and hope she fills in a good roll especially seeing that she might replace taki.

That's true but they don't look outgoing. Cassandra was kind of energetic in SC2 but calmed down later on it seems. Plus this girls hair is crazy. Hair can reflect a person's personality, sometimes. Heck, I think all the blonde haired people are cool. And I play 'em all except siegfried.

THANK GOD! I don't see why anyone is worried about Ivy being "too old" for SCV. Shouldn't that spell keep her from aging? I mean, sure she'll be near 50, but that spell postponed her death. Soooo shouldn't that mean it'll keep her from aging? Anywho I don't care, as long as she is set up with some difficult combos :D oh which reminds me, this probably should go somewhere else but eh, her death or exit from SC could be soon ): who knows how long that spell will last

I'm also starting to think some SC characters will get replaced but we'll see them again later on in like SCVIII or SCX. Kinda like bringing in the OGs of SC with the newbies. nice art work

Maybe it's because I live around mostly minorities, but I've seen hair like that before and actually like it (though, truth be told, it's mostly white girls in jogging pants I've seen with their hair like that). Other than that, energetic =/= clumsy and/or goofy. I'm not saying that she won't be (though I won't care either way, because I'm honestly in love with her design and know I'm going to be playing Sc5 regardless of what characters they include =P), but she doesn't look unlike Talim's expression.

Really, when you think about it, there aren't any goofy SC characters. I mean, all we really have to go off of are in-game dialogue and character backstories (and, really, from the former you would only be able to infer that maybe Cass and Yoshi are more aloof ).

And, really, for of the people saying she seems too goofy for the story, I wish you could've seen me in Afghanistan.

They have confirmed that she will not age.

 

Loving it. It has this 60s vibe to it... like she's from some Austin Powers movie.

Hmmm... well, other than this uncovering, I don't know quite what to expect: shared moves, improved moves and new moves and all between ol' Tak and the newcomer.

I suppose it doesn't look too bad, although the deliberate changes are kind of amusing. "Bare legs instead of bare arms! Redhead instead of brunette!"

All I know that this ninja reboot's gone from Taki to Maki! ...HOLY CRAP!

This something I have been wondering for a long time. How come English voice acting is so hated? I think alot of the SC cast sound good in english.
Is there a game out there that has did english voice acting well?
