His surname is Alexander or something (which I don't understand) That's why...
BTW, I noticed something like 236 in his vid with Zwei... I don't know if he was moving forward, but I noticed something like Angel Step...

See earlier posts and videos. We already know that Pat has Angel Step. It's more like Cassandra's Angel Step than Sophitia's. He also has a move like Cassandra's 236AB from it and the Alexandra style flip kick. I willing to bet his shield bash is 236B like Cassandra's.

if sophie returns.. i hope she's not mutated or has big claws or anything...
but if the boy's bio said that sophie's dead yet we hear her voice.. that means the bio's must be made misleading on purpose... kind of like "heihachi is dead"..

well at least if she's the new soul edge wielder, her weapon got a lot more better looking than her SCIV's soul edge

I've seen more Sophitia inspired moves on Patroklos than Cassandra inspired moves. Even NamcoBandi themselves said he was Sophitia inspired. Sophitia's and Cassandra's Angel Step are identical. The only Cassandra I've seen so far is on Pyrrha and that's only two move. If you want I will point out more than 5 Sophitia inspired moves, than Cassandra inspired moves on both Patroklos and Pyrrha.

Patroclus has a few moves that are more Cassandra-inspired. His shield bash is probably an Angel Step move, so it'd be more adopted from Cassandra. And at one point, he does a move kind of like Cassandra's AS A.B, but he doesn't do a second move, so it's hard to tell if it's Cassie's or Sophie's at this point. Also, his 66B+K.A.B-type string seems more of a Cassandra-type ending, to me. I haven't seen many moves that look like Sophitia on Patroclus, though. Pyrrha has a lot, though, with minor movement adjustments. Pat does Sophie's B2-type move a lot.

I don't understand the 66B+K stuff to be honest, So I will speak in the terms I know. As an AVID Sophitia and Cassandra player, I think Patroklos' shield rush move is inspired by the first hit in Sophitia's Jet Stream Rush, mixed with Sophitia's Elk Strike, and her "Angel Press" move. I saw that Patroklos' obviously has Angel Step first established by Sophitia since Soul Edge/Blade, he also has a move that seems to be inspired by Sophitia's "Angel Satellite" except the secondary hit strongly resembles Sophitia's Olympus Canon (He even placed his sword in his left hand just like Sophitia would do) . His stabbing move resembles Sophitia's "quick strike." One of his moves that launches the opponent in the air strongly resembles Sophitia's Exile move. One of his moves is exactly the same as her fist strike when she performs Iron Butterfly. I've seen a move that resembles Sophitia's double hilt, which is when he slams the shield into the opponent two times and then stabs him/her. Then he has a move inspired by Sophitia's "Nightmare stab" in Soul Edge/Blade, Later renamed "Impaling Strike." Which is the move where he stabs his opponent on the ground. Patroklos also has Sophitia's "Twin Step Grace." He also seems to have a move that strongly resembles Sophitia's Tornado High Kick, as does Pyrrha. His flip move, is obviously inspired by Sophitia's Angel's Sault. He also has Sophitia's Olympus Shower, the move where he slashes his opponent on to the ground. Even NamcoBandi themselves said He was Sophitia inspired, and I believe Daishi also confirmed the same thing. I see much more Sophitia than Cassandra in Patroklos. However I have seen 1 Cassandra move and 1 Cassandra inspired move on Pyrrha. I think Pyrrha is going to change anyway, I think they're probably still modifying her.

B2 was also on Cassandra.

B2 was also on Cassandra.

The game, set 17 years after Soulcalibur IV, features guest characters, Project Soul producer Hisaharu Tago told Christian Donlan for Eurogamer. The main character is Patroklos, son of Sophitia. Patroklos is “inspired” by the gameplay of Sophitia, but is “sharper” and “more agile”. He has new moves, but they’re all inspired by Sophitia’s.

-Me: I don't doubt Some moves on Patroklos were also on Cassandra since they most likely were also on Sophitia.

I heard both Pyrrha and Patroclus have Angel Step.
And wouldn't it be "Alexandra"? That's Cassie's and Sophie's last name.
Because...
1st. Children get their father's surname (But they kept the same surname so that we can recognise him)
2nd. Alexandra is for females
They can change the suffix, that's all...

Anyway, I know that Pat is inspired from both the sisters but he's got many new stuff. Also I don't get why he's thought to be more inspired than Soph, when Pyrrha is gonna be her improved successor.
To me Pat is inspired by the two sisters but he's new in his own way.
BTW, the way his stance is, makes me think that he'll be using his shield a lot; something we saw at the demo. Like in the AA move the first hit was with the sword and the second with the shield. The 236B spamming... etc

Wha...? What about Pyrrha? Hmm perhaps she is the successor, but Pat got only some moves inspired of Soph...

Nobody knows what you're talking about

Ok I know what you're talking about

But nobody memorizes move names. People just remember moves by their inputs and with the consistency of the way inputs are in SC, usually the input speaks for itself even if you haven't memorized how to do every move. :3::B: is usually a launcher, etc.

Really though, there's no reason to use the notation when we have these "smilies" :A::B::K::G::2::5::+::aB:

Yeah this doesn't seem true from the looks of it. Pat is different enough to completely stand on his own, it doesn't look he'll play remotely similar to either of the sisters. He doesn't seem to have the trademark fast mid punish, just a slow mid stab and not quite as fast shield bash. No overbearing speed and range, like Soph... that was given to Pyrrha. Really, she is more like an updated Sophie than a new character on her own. Pat definitely does not look sharper or more agile than either of the sisters.

I guess as the main character, Pat will be a basic, easy to use character with no strengths or weaknesses. Right now he looks cool, but none of his moves really stand out to me. All I see is basic launcher, basic AA, useless mid-high-mid slow NCC string, standard tech crouch, possibly useless tech jump, some low kicks which may or may not be useful, and a low stab that doesn't look reactable. Actually one thing stood out: an auto-GI. But it was really slow....

Yeah ultimately, despite similarities to the other Alexandra's, Pat is a brand new character with a lot of new moves. Even if in spirit he plays like Sophie or Cassandra or bears a remarkable number of moves from them he isn't them and is likely to be his own character. I think he'll have a number of interesting options, despite being fairly straightforward; he'll have some depth and complexity to him that even master Cassandra or Sophitia players will likely enjoy.

I never said that he would be exactly the same as Sophitia and Cassandra. If you can read, and understand the definitions of words you will understand that "inspired" doesn't mean the same or exactly the same move. Yes Patroklos does seem like an entirely new character. It shouldn't be that hard to understand the word "inspired" it's not that perplexing after all.

Thank you. :D I memorized the names of Sophitia's and Cassandra's move list, this is so much easier thanks.

I was more referring to the quote from the developers not really holding true, not your comments. And I do know what inspired means, but we have no way of knowing how the developers were inspired. So the way we're using the word, we really mean "similar to" when we say "inspired by," since similarity can be the only evidence of inspiration here. Unless of course, you were speculating on something that can never be confirmed (actual inspiration).

Patroklos is an ENTIRELY NEW CHARACTER. NONE OF HIS MOVES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS CASSANDRAS, HOWEVER I'VE SEEN 3 MOVES EXACTLY THE SAME AS SOPHITIA'S. STILL THE REST OF HIS MOVE-LIST (AT LEAST WHAT WE'VE SEEN SO FAR) SEEMS REALLY REFRESHING....NEW! Unlike Pyrrha's (unless of course they're still working on her, which I highly doubt)

I agree
