Fanart Friday: Create-a-Soul Edition

So last week was our first Fanart Friday; and I didn't explain the rules too well... my fault. Last week was supposed to be an emphasis on custom weapons; but a lot of people sent in create-a-soul characters instead. So I will only be posting entries which show a higher emphasis on the character's weapons themselves and this week will be all about Create-a-Soul characters...

If you send in a create-a-soul last week, resend your entry this week. Multiple entries will be permitted, however if we get too many entries, I will have to limit the number of entries per person and select the ones I think are the best. Also, try to include all your entries in a single submission. Remember, submit your entries using the "Contact Us" form; do not post your entries as a comment. Also, while the Soul Calibur series is rated "mature" with "sexual situations", we can not accept any entries with blatant nudity.

Moving on, I have selected 30 of the best entries from the past week... There is also a poll where users can vote on their favorites; the winner receives a limited Project Soul T-Shirt! Images embedded after the break.

Joke weapons have just as much creativity.

(I said as though trying to convince people to take kittens home from the pound before they gas them.)

Though to be honest right now the current most popular serious entry is a fan art from airbender that's more a create a soul than a weapon and that vaguely grinds my gears.

 

About my entry (one before of the guitars), I was thinking in a fighting style like Darth Maul, It took me about 1 hour & I'm glad to be between the 30 best entries.

Btw, my nick is AsDeEspadas, not AsdeEspada, it means AceOfSpades in spanish.

Looks like every illustration needs a tittle so that the editor doesn't have to looks which illutstration matches the name listed on the vote.

I liked "Sham Wow Monk" because it reminded me of weapon concept that I had completely forgot about, even though I've seen Once Upon a Time in China II half dozen times.

I also liked Double Voulges, especially Jila's and ErikV's designs.

I also liked that ring blade and all of the joke weapons (those MSPaint Kactars looked awesome).

Then I must compliment the artwork in Venia et Gloria, looks really pretty.

I must say that it would be nice to have Kusarigama style in the game.

Very nice selection overall, I'm waiting to see what you guys come up with next time.

Indeed, it's not an airblender fanart ... the idea comes from an old film called "once upon in China II" with Jet Li and Donnie Yen.

But you're right, this is more a create a soul than a weapon... but, i don't know how to draw this weapon without someone who use it. I don't think drawing a wet towel on a paper would be taken seriously xD.
