Sounds like you did your homework. However, as soon as you said "I don't even use 3B", I had to stop listening. That move is arguably his single greatest move, simply because it's used in high level play VERY VERY often. And as a person who uses Sieg, that move is my bread and butter.
I do agree that Siegfried needs some improvement. I don't think he's as crappy as you make him out to be. Bad frames on block? No worries, just turtle a little more, and wait for the CH.
Son.. stfu -_-
lol j/k n_n
Nah but really, if YOU do your homework, you'll learn about G2, which was a game glitch back in SC2 that made possible for NM to instantly block after transitioning into any stance from most into-stance-attacks. The existence of G2 was what made NM's 3B so famous by those OOOLD times.
You know how dumb & boring is to watch a SC2 NM or a SC3-4 Sig just doing 3B], & randomly winning or losing? You know how dumb it is to use such long sword like a Zweihander at close range 24/7 even when its clearly not intelligent to do so?
I play & WIN a lot with Sig WITHOUT 3B-ing once during 20 matches! In a row!! bitch!!! XP (j/k btw n_~)
Just because most Sig matches that makes it to internet videos featuring "3B TOP PLAYING MASTERING" (sarcasm), doesn't mean that its even an absolute good thing to do ("arguably his single greatest move" <.< oo-rly??). It smells like "monkey-see-monkey-do" to me. Wtf. -_-
You know who you are talking to!? Huh? Look at my avatar!! Yea, that's right -_-
Now, its cool if 3B is YOUR "bread & butter". I'm not going to judge or think anything about your play style, no more than you present here or on videos. & if you limit your learning approach for a slight disagreement ("I had to stop listening"), its cool. Its you.
Like myself, we all need to follow our own way. n_n
I don't make Sig sound crappy. I make NAMCO sound crappy for not finishing Sig's core-play development, which evidences I'd exposed earlier in the post you quoted from me. Thank for quoting it btw n_~
I exploit the inputs & all possibilities of possible with all the characters I use in fighting games. I'd founds flaws on Sig. If want A BETTER SIG in SC5, its my job to expose these flaws so that NAMCO may figure how to correct them before re-selling glitches with "another number in the box", & we -the dumb loyal costumer-, buy them again -_- (Unfortunately, I'm unable to record footage atm)
You & everyone is welcome to test-play my statements about Sig's flaws, & check them by yourselves.
Thankfully, I've seen good things on SC5 Sig, & some things that I mentioned! And if NAMCO is truly reading these topics to get ideas, then I see it happening with Sig in what little its been shown, except for the JG & new-GI ideas, those are new from them.
Among my favorite SC4 moves:
B>4 to b:4 start up speed control: I actually managed to mix up rivals into early GI-ing vs my b:4 & hitting them (into Ukemi mix-up, etc.) by bating my rivals with B>4 "Latest input" which makes B4 to come out faster enough to mix timing vs reaction vs the rival.
">.> Oooh, but B4 is too slow & linear, it can easily be stepped blah, blah.." (dramatization of an attitude & not referring to anyone)
B>4 twitches. a+ka:2A twitches. It = "spotting mix-up".
">.> oooh..."
n_n Nah, enough I'm just kidding btw. I'm gonna like SC5 & Sig anyhow, basically because it gonna be different & faster & flashier & more "practical" in time.
Anyway. To me, & this is just to me.. 3B is Sig's novice tools, because of how it bets damage at close. I'm not saying that it's a bad move, but its not an "all-in-one" move. Just my opinion.
SC5's 3B looks great! It knocks down on normal hit
AT TIP RANGE! "*o* oooo.. n_n yea"
Edit: Btw, this reply of mine is NOT intended to offend or bother anyone. Just exchanging opinions n_n
